"Mathematical Formulas For Industrial and Mechanical
Engineering" serves the needs of students and teachers as well as
professional workers in engineering who use mathematics. The
contents and size make it especially convenient and portable. The
widespread availability and low price of scientific calculators
have greatly reduced the need for many numerical tables that make
most handbooks bulky. However, most calculators do not give
integrals, derivatives, series and other mathematical formulas and
figures that are often needed. Accordingly, this book contains that
information in an easy way to access in addition to illustrative
examples that make formulas clearer. Students and professionals
alike will find this book a valuable supplement to standard
textbooks, a source for review, and a handy reference for many
years.

Utilizing mathematical algorithms is an important aspect of
recreating real-world problems in order to make important
decisions. By generating a randomized algorithm that produces
statistic patterns, it becomes easier to find solutions to
countless situations. Stochastic Methods for Estimation and Problem
Solving in Engineering provides emerging research on the role of
random probability systems in mathematical models used in various
fields of research. While highlighting topics, such as random
probability distribution, linear systems, and transport profiling,
this book explores the use and behavior of uncertain probability
methods in business and science. This book is an important resource
for engineers, researchers, students, professionals, and
practitioners seeking current research on the challenges and
opportunities of non-deterministic probability models.

Fifth generation (5G) wireless networks are now commercialized, and
the research focus has shifted towards sixth generation (6G)
wireless systems. The integration of sensor nodes and massive
machine type communication (MTC) devices (MDs) in ubiquitous 5G
networks has facilitated the design of critical enabling
technologies to support billions of data-hungry applications. By
leveraging sensor nodes in wireless sensor networks (WSNs),
sensitive user information can be harvested and transmitted to
receivers via WSN-assisted channels, which are often not well
secured. Consequently, sensitive user information can be
intercepted and used unlawfully. The security and confidentiality
measures used for data transmission over existing 5G WSN-assisted
channels are limited. 6G systems are envisaged to face fiercer
security challenges. In 6G wireless networks, a new set of sensing
and precise localization techniques are predicted. Thus, the need
to secure user information against adversarial attacks needs to be
implemented at the design stage. The book proposes viable solutions
to revamp traditional security architecture by addressing critical
security challenges in commercialized 5G and envisioned 6G wireless
communication systems. Expert contributors bring new insights into
real-world scenarios for the deployment, applications and
management of robust, secure, and efficient security schemes for
massive devices in 6G wireless networks. Finally, the book
discusses critical security and privacy issues affecting the
wireless ecosystem and provides practical AI-based solutions.
Security and Privacy Schemes for Dense 6G Wireless Communication
Networks is an essential reference for industry and academic
researchers; scientists, engineers, lecturers and advanced students
in the fields of cybersecurity wireless communication and
networking, network security, computing, data science, AI/ML/DL,
and sensing, as well as cybersecurity professionals and 6G
standardization experts.

This book is designed to be a vital companion to math textbooks
covering the topics of precalculus, calculus, linear algebra,
differential equations, and probability and statistics. While these
existing textbooks focus mainly on solving mathematic problems
using the old paper-and-pencil method, this book teaches how to
solve these problems using Maxima open-source software. Maxima is a
system for the manipulation of symbolic and numerical expressions,
including differentiation, integration, Taylor series, Laplace
transforms, ordinary differential equations, systems of linear
equations, polynomials, sets, lists, vectors, and matrices. One of
the benefits of using Maxima to solve mathematics problems is the
immediacy with which it produces answers. Investing in learning
Maxima now will pay off in the future, particularly for students
and beginning professionals in mathematics, science, and
engineering. The volume will help readers to apply nearly all of
the Maxima skills discussed here to future courses and research.

This book addresses the need to explore user interaction with
online learning repositories and the detection of emergent
communities of users. This is done through investigating and mining
the Khan Academy repository; a free, open access, popular online
learning repository addressing a wide content scope. It includes
large numbers of different learning objects such as instructional
videos, articles, and exercises. The authors conducted descriptive
analysis to investigate the learning repository and its core
features such as growth rate, popularity, and geographical
distribution. The authors then analyzed this graph and explored the
social network structure, studied two different community detection
algorithms to identify the learning interactions communities
emerged in Khan Academy then compared between their effectiveness.
They then applied different SNA measures including modularity,
density, clustering coefficients and different centrality measures
to assess the users' behavior patterns and their presence. By
applying community detection techniques and social network
analysis, the authors managed to identify learning communities in
Khan Academy's network. The size distribution of those communities
found to follow the power-law distribution which is the case of
many real-world networks. Despite the popularity of online learning
repositories and their wide use, the structure of the emerged
learning communities and their social networks remain largely
unexplored. This book could be considered initial insights that may
help researchers and educators in better understanding online
learning repositories, the learning process inside those
repositories, and learner behavior.
