SingaporeEye features seventy-five of the country's most dynamic contemporary artists, as well as contributions by experts tracing the origins and history of artistic development in Singapore, offering insight of new trends arising from the city's young artists of today and of the perspectives behind their work. The publication of this volume coincides with the 50th anniversary of Singapore's independence. This catalogue was published for the inaugural START art fair, held at the Saatchi Gallery in London in June 2014. It offers information on over forty exhibiting galleries and their artists, as well as twenty artists appearing in "Eye Zone," an exhibition held within the fair. START is a focused art fair, limited to young galleries showing new artists from around the world, in well proportioned museum standard exhibition spaces rather than standard art fair booths.
