Who was Shakespeare? A minimally educated actor who happened to
write the most celebrated works of the English language, or someone
else? Don't the Shakespeare plays test your mind and lift your soul
regardless of who wrote them? Of course, but Shakespeare's works
present an entirely different meaning and challenge when the
interpretations stem from the inventiveness and personal biography
of Sir Francis Bacon, a Peer of the Realm, scientist, mystic and
statesman. What evidence is there that Sir Francis Bacon, Baron
Verulam and Viscount St. Albans, was the actual author, and why
would Bacon disguise his works? As a biography, the sonnets, plays,
and poems bare no similarity to the life of the actor "Shak-spere."
They do however, reflect the life of Francis Bacon, particularly in
the anguish and pain he suffered in his fall from power that began
with his trial in 1621. Thirty-three examples of evidence found in
the works of Shakespeare, accompanied by twenty-one illustrations,
and highly detailed examinations of literary works, manuscripts and
monuments from Elizabethan England, support the premise that not
only was the name "Shakespeare" a pseudonym for Francis Bacon, but
that the playwright Shakespeare was Francis Bacon.

Attorney David Crist receives a note from his secretary that his
uncle wishes David to come to Holy Ground, his uncle's farm. During
the drive from Louisville to Holy Ground, near Munfordville,
Kentucky, David reflects on the stories his grandfather told him
when he was a child about the Civil War. When David arrives at his
uncle and aunt's home at Holy Ground, no one answers his knocks on
the screen doors. He carefully searches the entire house, but finds
no trace of his uncle and aunt. Seventy-three years earlier during
the Battle of Munfordville in 1862 between the Union and
Confederate forces, Corporal Joshua Applegate discovers a wagon
containing a chest filled with $1 and $5 greenbacks. The Union
major orders Joshua, a lieutenant, and a sergeant to deliver the
chest in the wagon to the quartermaster in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
When the lieutenant is accidentally killed by falling from his
horse, the sergeant suggests that he and Joshua hide the chest and
greenbacks. The sergeant lowers the chest to Joshua, who has gone
down the hole. The sergeant pulls the rope up, intending to strand
Joshua, letting him die of thirst. However, Joshua manages to
escape. That night Joshua smashes in the head of the sergeant while
he slept. Returning to his unit, Joshua participates in the Battle
of Munfordville. He participates in the Union's advance into the
south, and three years later in Atlanta is discharged. His struggle
between enjoying the hidden wealth and his remorse in being a
murderer and thief leads to his redemption and, seventy-three years
later, explains the mysterious disappearance of David's aunt and
uncle.

From the seven phases of all cycles, and the four Jungian functions
of physical, feeling, thinking and intuition, the mysterious and
archetypal twenty-eight is born. It manifests synchronistically
across cultures in history, architecture, literature, and myths as
twenty-eight separate and distinct phases, characteristics, or
personalities. Corresponding to the Hebrew word Koakh (meaning
"power"), the number twenty-eight has been associated with wisdom,
and is deeply rooted in quaternary and septenary principles with
examples ranging from the plays of Shakespeare to the Aztec
calendar, the Circus Maximus in Rome to the game of chess. With
over twenty years of research into the powerful and sometimes
elusive nature of the number twenty-eight, Karl F. Hollenbach
presents this work with charts and illustrations as well as
additional research and examples not published in the previous
volume "Ericius."

The Righteous Rogue is the heroic and historical erotic tale of
Eugene; a nobleman by birth who prevails over his humble beginnings
as the unwanted fruit of a forbidden love and evolves from a
youthful militant into a spiritual and peaceful being that has been
touched by the hand of the divine. Though Eugene is a promising and
honorable young man he is not without his flaws and shortcomings,
in particular, his weakness for the feminine form. However, it is
not in spite of these flaws that he finds his true calling; rather,
it is because of them. With poignant descriptions and
characteristics of an epic adventure, The Righteous Rogue is at
times tender, and at others it is gritty with despair from the loss
of love, to a discovery that shakes the foundations of Eugene's
moral self, and ultimately leads him to his destiny.
