The power of prayer, fasting, and meditating upon God's words made
a difference in my life. I was at a point in my life where I had
lost all hope, and I felt myself as an outcast in a strange place
without anyone to understand my pain, which consumed my every
means. Death was all I longed for both day and night. But something
miraculously happened on the night that death visited me. I heard a
soft whisper as it echoed the spoken words "'Vengeance is mine, '
said the Lord." I felt my tears drying up instantaneously, and God
stopped me in my tracks and lifted me up and took me under his
wings like I had never seen before or experienced in my life. God
the Father had restored my faith, strengthened me spiritually,
empowered me to take control of all my affairs, made me content in
all circumstances, and established me. I was able to do all things
with God ordering my steps. Through faith, I was able to overcome
life's struggles, and I was able to live again.
An all-encompassing guide to entertaining, amazing, and possibly
even educating children, "Be the Coolest Dad on the Block" provides
the perfect excuse to stand on a balloon, play with grated cheese
in the microwave, and unroll an entire roll of toilet paper, all in
the name of spending time with your kids.
Written by a comedy writer and a cartoonist with thirty years'
combined experience as dads, "Be the Coolest Dad on the Block "is a
cornucopia of practical parenting advice, like how to skip stones
or teach a kid to ride a bike. It has answers to the pesky
questions kids love, such as "Why is the sky blue?" or "Where do
babies come from?" And it can help dads entertain large groups of
kids with slapstick gags ("burp the alphabet") or cool tricks ("the
hole in the head"). "Be the Coolest Dad on the Block "also contains
spooky myths for telling around the campfire and loads of quizzes
and jokes for rainy days or endless car rides.
With a range of ideas to suit all situations and sensibilities, "Be
the Coolest Dad on the Block" gives any dad the right stuff to be
the wackiest and smartest guy in the room.

Two adventures from the early 1980s with Peter Davison starring as
the Time Lord. In 'Kinda' (1982), the Doctor (Davison), Tegan
(Janet Fielding), Adric (Matthew Waterhouse) and Nyssa (Sarah
Sutton) land on paradisical Deva Loka, for rest and recuperation.
However, the military expediton on the planet has lost several crew
members, and the Doctor and Adric are taken hostage by the near
hysterical Hindle. Meanwhile, Tegan's dreams have provided the
gateway to an ancient evil, the snake-like Mara. The Doctor must
prevent the Mara from taking over the Kinda and destroying the
expedition, as the wheel of creation begins to turn. In
'Snakedance' (1983), a loose sequel to 'Kinda', Tegan must have
made a mistake when she was setting the co-ordinates for the
TARDIS, because the Doctor certainly hadn't intended landing on
Manussa. When the Doctor learns that Manussa was once the home of
the Sumaran Empire, he realises that an evil force has begun to
take over Tegan's will. This force, the Mara, is planning to use
Tegan as a vehicle to retake power on Manussa. Just as the
celebrations to commemorate the destruction of the Sumaran Empire
by the Federation are about to take place, the Legend of Mara is
about to come true.
Improvisation is crucial to a wide range of artistic activities -
most prominently, perhaps, in music, but extending to other fields
of experience such as literature and pedagogy. Yet it gets short
shrift in both appreciation and analysis of art within education.
This is in no small part due to our tendency to view the world in
fixed categories and structures that belie our ability to generate
creative, groundbreaking responses within and between those
structures. The Lived Experience of Improvisation draws on an
analysis of interviews with highly regarded improvisers, including
Roscoe Mitchell, Pauline Oliveros and George Lewis. Simon Rose also
exploits his own experience as a musician and teacher, making a
compelling case for bringing back improvisation from the margins.
He argues that improvisation is a pervasive aspect of being human
and that it should be at the heart of our teaching and
understanding of the world.

escape routes and abandoned underground tunnel systems.

The Children's Writer's Guide examines how you can get started as a
writer, create time and space to pursue your craft and deal with
lack of motivation and writers block. Topics covered include where
ideas come from and how writers turn them into stories, choosing
names for characters that are appropriate to the story, the
importance of historical research if your novel is set in a
different era, writing science fiction and fantasy, and the use of
magic in stories for children. The author examines the role of
editing and revision and how to deal with what is often the
inevitable process of rejection, at least until good fortune comes
your way. The author also recounts some of his experiences with
marketing and promotion, such as book launches and in-store
signings, websites, blogs, and social media, and discusses
presentations, workshops and author-in-residence programs at
schools and libraries.
