Aristotle examines the role of leisure (schole) in the optimal life of the citizen (Politics VII/VIII). In the quest for the most desirable life understood as the proper combination of political and contemplative elements Aristotle ascribes an important role to leisure. Die Frame-Semantik gehoert zu den bestetablierten Methoden der germanistischen Diskurslinguistik. Das Potenzial frame-semantischer Analysen wurde dort allerdings bislang nur bedingt ausgeschoepft. Um dieses Potenzial weiter zu entfalten, greift der Autor das Konzept der Frame-Relationen auf und macht dieses fur argumentationsanalytische Zwecke nutzbar. Der Zusammenhang von semantischen Frames und argumentativen Strukturen wird auf theoretischer Ebene herausgearbeitet, u. a. unter Ruckgriff auf Erkenntnisse aus kognitiver Psychologie und Verstehensforschung. Eine umfangreiche kontrastive Korpusstudie zum parlamentarischen Kernenergiediskurs im Deutschen Bundestag und der franzoesischen Assemblee nationale illustriert die Anwendung der entworfenen Methodik.
