Waste and Biodiesel: Feedstocks and Precursors for Catalysts is a
comprehensive reference on waste material utilization at various
stages of the biodiesel production process. The book discusses the
technologies for converting cooking oil and waste animal fats to
biodiesel, along with the efficacy of municipal waste derived
lipids in biodiesel production. The use of wastewater-grown
microalgae feedstock, oleaginous fungi, bacteria and yeast produced
using waste substrate are also discussed. The use of various
catalysts is addressed, including CaO derived from waste shell
materials, fish and animal waste, inorganic waste materials like
red mud and cement waste, and whole cell enzymes using waste
substrate. Each chapter addresses the challenges of high production
costs at a pilot and industrial scale, offering methods of cost
reduction and waste remediation. This book is a valuable resource
for researchers and industry professionals in environmental
science, energy and renewable energy.

This book comprises of my research work which was carried out in
Kothiwal dental college, research centre & hospital, moradabad,
india. In this research work a new surgical technique was followed
for surgical closure of oroantral fistula using collagen membrane
and demineralized bovine bone graft and bone formation was
evaluated. Oroantral fistula is a pathologic communication between
oral cavity and maxillary antrum and persistence of which can cause
serious problems to patients thus immediate closure is desirable.
Although various surgical procedures had been advocated for closure
of oroantral fistula, this technique has advantage over traditional
method as their is Bone formation in the fistula site thus in
future endosseous implants can be placed for rehabilitation of the
patients. The bone formed by using these grafts is of good quality
and have significant strength for implant placement.Furthermore
studies using greater sample sizes are required to establish this
new technique, the technique is very promising in future prospects
.This research work was carried out obeying all the ethical
prinicples.
Formulation of Gastroretentive Floating Tablets, sustained release
tablets is the area of research from long time. Most of the time
material used for formulation is either synthetic or semi-synthetic
polymers. The preparation and cost of these polymers have always
been problem for the formulators. Thus, more emphasis was given on
the use of natural materials or combination of their with synthetic
or semisynthetic for sustaining the release. The easy availability
and low cost are the main advantages of these natural polymers.
Also, the biodegradability of natural polymers gives an extra
advantage over synthetic polymers. This study laid emphasis on use
of different types of natural materials as the good
gastroretentive, sustained release polymers in combination. Hence,
various other kinds of material can be utilized to formulate the
Floating systems and release retarding systems which can floated
upto maximum required time and release the drug in specific time
period. Moreover such blends can be used to release the drug in
specific pattern by suppressing the snags of either one or both the
materials.
