directed by Aleksander Bach. The International Contracts Agency
(ICA), a top secret organisation that works independently of the
U.S. government, has spent millions of dollars developing its own
army of genetically engineered assassins. Known only by the last
two digits of the barcode stamped on the back of his neck, Agent 47
is the best assassin in the business, boasting unrivalled
intelligence, speed and strength. When 47's latest target,
multi-national corporation owner John Smith (Zachary Quinto), gets
wind of his impending fate, Smith tries to penetrate the ICA to

A collection of films featuring the Irish actor Liam Neeson. In
'Rob Roy' (1995), the Scottish hero Rob Roy (Neeson) borrows money
from the powerful Marquess of Montrose (John Hurt) in order to
provide for his MacGregor clan. However, Montrose's evil henchman
Cunningham (Tim Roth) has other ideas and is determined to stop Roy
getting his way. In 'Kingdom of Heaven' (2005), Orlando Bloom plays
a humble blacksmith who discovers that he is the son of a knight,
and travels to the Holy Land to fight in the crusades. In the
thriller 'Taken' (2008), Neeson stars as Bryan, a former CIA secret
agent living in the US who is obliged to resurrect the skills he
learned in his old job after his estranged 17-year-old daughter Kim
(Maggie Grace) is kidnapped by sex slave traffickers while
travelling with a friend in Europe. Finally, in 'The A-Team'
(2010), four Iraq war veterans, led by Col. John 'Hannibal' Smith
(Neeson), are on the run from the US military who suspect them of
committing a crime and set about trying to clear their names.
Becoming mercenaries and employing a wide range of uniquely
offensive skills mixed in with a healthy dose of eccentric
behaviour, Smith and his cohorts, 'Faceman' Peck (Bradley Cooper),
'Howling Mad' Murdock (Sharlto Copley) and 'B.A.' Baracus (Quinton
Jackson), set out to right the wrong done to them by any means
necessary - and some that aren't - all the while pursued by
military tracker Charisa Sosa (Jessica Biel).

Restlessness in our body. Constant negative thoughts. Inability to
focus. Most of us relate in some way to these feelings. Anxiety is
that vague feeling that something isn't right, that something bad
may happen. Worry becomes an all-consuming part of life. In this
eight-session LifeGuide(R) Bible Study, nurse and Bible study
writer Skip McDonald looks at a variety of Old Testament and New
Testament Scripture passages that cover experiences of general
anxiety, worry, and panic. For over three decades LifeGuide Bible
Studies have provided solid biblical content and raised
thought-provoking questions--making for a one-of-a-kind Bible study
experience for individuals and groups. This series has more than
130 titles on Old and New Testament books, character studies, and
topical studies.
Are you a current or emerging Christian leader who yearns to make a
significant long-term difference?
Do you sometimes wonder how to distinguish what is imperative from
what is important?
Are you a board member who wants your church or parachurch
leadership team to become more intentional and on-target about
doing the right things the right way?
"The Leader's SEEcret" is a parable that explores and applies God's
Word to today's world of leadership diversions. It delves
underneath the surface issues of a leader's or manager's knowledge
and skills.
"The Leader's SEEcret" will help you discover, understand, and
apply ten core features of one ancient principle. You will
understand how to infuse the situations you face as a leader or
manager with that timeless reality. And you will learn how you can
inspire your staff to do so, too.
Along the way, "The Leader's SEEcret" shows the failure and regret
a leader causes when his or her current leadership priorities
conflict with lifetime purposes.
This story comes in a concise, get-to-the-point writing style,
making it very helpful for individual or group study.
One warning: The principle undergirding LeaderSlip is simple---but
not necessarily easy. If you take the challenge, you will become a
more effective leader and---perhaps even more crucial---you will
protect yourself from eventual failure.
Traditional scholarship often points to the Calvinists and Max
Weber s writing on the Protestant ethic as the catalysts to
changing Christian attitudes concerning profit-seeking and wealth.
Author Skip Worden argues that the seeds of this change occurred
centuries earlier. From the beginning of the Commercial Revolution
to the fifteenth-century Renaissance, he shows that the predominant
Christian thought on economics went through a fundamental shift,
becoming favorable toward profit-seeking and wealth-holding. Worden
discusses this dramatic change and explains how the general
antagonism toward the pursuit of wealth before the Commercial
Revolution transformed into Protestant theologians' fighting
against the prevailing view of a pro-wealth paradigm during the
fifteenth century. Worden contends that the shift away from the
Patristic view of wealth occurred well before the addition of the
Calvinist spirit of capitalism and the Puritan work ethic into
Christian economic vernacular. Drawing on Plato, Cicero, and
Augustine, early Protestant theologians unsuccessfully sought to
check the rising dominance of the pro-wealth Christian paradigm,
which they believed had been pushed too far. These theologians of
the sixteenth and seventeenth century felt it was too close to
advocating love of gain itself, something too close to the sin of
greed. How well the Reformation succeeded can be assessed by Worden
s insightful concluding study of John D. Rockefeller, the ascetic
steward of God s Gold in the form of monopoly.
How do today’s leaders shift from playing it safe to playing for
great? In a volatile and complex world roiled by a climate crisis,
global pandemics, and disruptive technologies like AI,
hyper-individualized leadership models no longer make sense. To
seize emerging opportunities and achieve sustainable growth,
leaders must recognize that a team’s success flows from the
intelligence, achievements, and growth of the entire collective. In
Safe to Great, Skip Bowman proposes a leadership sea change that
puts purpose before profit, and the team before the individual. He
draws on the concept of psychological safety as the key to
unlocking an organization’s growth mindset, and unites theory and
practice in principles that will help leaders shape innovative
workplaces that thrive on experimentation. Grounded in more than 25
years of experience working with global organizations, Safe to
Great is designed for leaders who want to bring more hope and
critical thinking to how they manage. Bowman makes a compelling
appeal for a new standard of leadership that moves people and
organizations from a place of relative comfort and little risk to a
space of daring curiosity, engagement, and collaboration.

"The decades of experience-based wisdom that Graupp, Steward and
Parsons share will set you on a new path to a more joyful
organization and the tangible results it will produce." Rich
Sheridan, CEO, Menlo Innovations; author of Joy, Inc. and Chief Joy
Officer "A fine book by skilled practitioners that integrates Kata
and TWI, with Strategy Deployment in pursuit of an integrated
management system. Well done, Skip, Brad and Patrick." Pascal
Dennis, president, Lean Pathways Inc.; author of Lean Production
Simplified, Andy & Me, Andy & Me and the Hospital, Getting
the Right Things Done, and The Remedy "In this practical and
engaging book, Patrick Graupp, Skip Steward, and Brad Parsons give
a concise and extremely clear explanation of what systems thinking
looks like in a healthcare setting. And they do so in a way that
translates easily to any type of organization. Highly recommended!"
Alan Robinson, co-author of Ideas Are Free and The Idea-Driven
Organization Despite the vast library of knowledge on Lean tools
and models, the majority of Lean implementations fail to sustain
themselves over time for lack of a functioning management system.
In turn, when organizations try to apply a prescribed,
one-size-fits-all, management system they inevitably find that what
works for others may not work quite as well in their unique
situation. Putting the right pieces in the right places is the
prime challenge for every organization and no two successful
management systems will, or should, be the same. This book provides
and examines core principles that must be in place for an
organization to find what an effective management system should
constitute for them. It outlines key elements and how they work
together as a necessary system to achieve overall success. Based on
their extensive experience with organizational development and
hands-on leadership in policy deployment, TWI and Kata, the authors
describe their own journey in helping organizations discover and
develop systems that function like well-designed and smooth-running
machines while capturing the humanistic aspects of the foundational
skills that emphasize the inherent synergy of the system. Readers
will learn to help their own organizations "connect the dots"
between the various pieces of Lean methodology and effectively
create their own management systems that ultimately fulfil
customers' needs and expectations.
One of America's biggest and most diverse landscapes begins in
your yard. There's no way around it: Texas is huge. The state dials
in at well over 250,000 square miles, housing most of the United
States' power grid, arguably "all" of its delicious food, and
almost every kind of environment imaginable: formidable mountains,
rolling hills, flat plains, and coastline. If you're a home
gardener, knowing "what" to do "when" can be overwhelming--that's
where "Texas Month-by-Month Gardening," the companion book to our
"Texas Getting Started Garden Guide," comes to the rescue. Inside,
Houston horticulturist Robert "Skip" Richter makes it easy with a
in-depth month-by-month breakdown of "what" to plant, "when" to
plant, and "how" to take care of it in order to have a beautiful
Texas garden all year round. During each month, you'll learn to
plan, plant, care for, water, fertilize, and troubleshoot in-season
annuals, bulbs, lawns, natives, perennials, roses, shrubs, trees,
vines, and groundcovers. As with all of our renowned gardening
books, you're treated to gorgeous full-color "here's how" and plant
photography and USDA zone maps. Plus, you'll get a detailed
introduction to gardening specifically in the Lone Star State. So
have no fear: from the red buckeyes in Dallas to Sunshine roses in
Abilene, you'll have the best little garden in the biggest state
around. For our full introduction to gardening in Texas, we also
recommend companion books "Texas Getting Started Garden Guide" and
"Texas Fruit & Vegetable Gardening."
