In this historical fantasy novel, praised as a ârich, omen-filled
journey that powerfully shows love and its limits*â
and âpropulsive, wise, and heartbreaking,â** Ziva
will do anything to save her twin brother Pesah from his
illnessâeven facing the Angel of Death himself. From Sydney
Taylor Honor winner and National Jewish Book Award finalist Sofiya
Pasternack. Pesah has lived with leprosy for years, and the twins
have spent most of that time working on a cure. Then Pesah has a
vision: The Angel of Death will come for him on Rosh Hashanah, just
one month away. So Ziva takes her brother and runs away to find
doctors who can cure him. But when they meet and accidentally free
a half-demon boy, he suggests paying his debt by leading them to
the fabled city of Luz, where no one ever diesâthe one place
Pesah will be safe. They just need to run faster than The Angel of
Death can fly... (*Publishers Weekly, starred review; **Kirkus

If you know little of Ukraine, this book will give you a
concentrated history of that country as you read the life story of
Pasha Pipenko, which in an interesting turn of current events,
lends itself to valuable insight to the political culture of both
Ukraine and Russia. In 1939 Pasha is one of thousands of boys
exiled by Russia to a labour camp from where he and his best friend
Oleksander are later drafted by the Soviet Army. Ultimate victory
is theirs as they manage to outwit, outlast and outmaneuver the
enemy to win back property, inheritance, nationality and
independence.
We've written a book called EXQUISITE CORPSE. We are selling it
now. The money goes to support a children's charity, called
KidSave. We think you should buy it. 31 comedians from the LA area
each contributed a chapter. They were allowed to only read the
final paragraph of the chapter which came before theirs, and given
no rules except "make it interesting." Each chapter has a vastly
different voice but continues the story... more or less. All
profits go to benefit KidSave, an organization whose goal is to
connect 1,000,000 orphans and foster youth to parents and mentors
to enable them to experience love, hope and the opportunity for a
successful future. You can find out more by clicking here. It's a
small organization, where every dollar will help generate real
change in the lives of orphaned children. Brock Wilbur and Sofiya
Alexandra put this book together, and Brandon Vaughn did all the
illustrations. Contributors include: Allen Strickland Williams

prepare and evaluate mucoadhesive drug delivery system of
Ranitidine hydrochloride tablet using hydrophilic polymers in order
to reduce dose frequency to match the initial release of the drug
with the conventional dosage form. The formulation was designed
adopting optimization technique, which helps in setting up
experiments in such a manner that the information is obtained as
efficiently and precisely as possible. Initially, considering
buoyancy as the main criteria, blank tablets were compressed for
different formulae with various polymers HPMC K 15 M, HPMC K 100 M,
Carbopol 934. The tablets were prepared by direct compression
method and evaluated for Ranitdine content, in vitro release
profile and buoyancy. The dissolution study was carried out in
simulated gastric fluid using USP dissolution test apparatus
employing paddle stirrer.. This indicates the suitability of the
technique chosen for the present dosage form.
This book is about the challenges of a carrying out the role
expected of a daughter in a traditional Pakistani household while
living in America.
This book takes stock of the diverse and divergent welfare
trajectories of post-socialist countries across Central, Eastern
and South Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union. It traces
the impacts, in terms of poverty, well-being, and inequality, of
over two decades of transformation, addressing both the legacy
effects of socialist welfare systems and the installation of new
social, political, and economic structures and, in many cases, new
independent nation-states. Authors from different disciplines
address key aspects of social protection including health care,
poverty reduction measures, active labour market policies, pension
systems, and child welfare systems.
