Cette question semble aujourd'hui dans une impasse, depuis les annees 2000 et le mandat du Premier ministre Koizumi. Le Yasukuni est un sanctuaire shinto situe au centre de Tokyo. Pourquoi souleve-t-il tant de problemes politiques au Japon meme ou sur la scene internationale? Ce sanctuaire est tres particulier: il celebre comme divinites quelque deux millions cent-cinq mille soldats de l'ex-armee japonaise.
