With the COVID-19 pandemic rapidly escalating higher education's
move online, this timely Handbook presents holistic
conceptualisations of digital higher education which consider
change at personal, pedagogic, and organisational levels. Key
findings from digital education research and case studies of
institutional practices consider the current and future roles of
digital technologies in higher education. Examining the changing
roles of learning and teaching in digital higher education, the
Handbook critiques the current state of the field and considers the
impact of digital technologies on the symbiotic relationship
between research and practice, pointing to the importance of
reflexive professional practice. Through conceptual frameworks and
methodologies, chapters demonstrate that researching digital higher
education needs to be pluralistic, longitudinal and developmental
in order to be rigorous, credible and have impact. The Handbook
concludes with a look to future directions of digital higher
education, including the key principles of innovation, inclusivity,
collaboration and engagement, and sustainability. This Handbook's
diverse critical approaches to digital change will be invaluable to
researchers and students of education policy and organisational
innovation. Dealing extensively with how strategic and policy
decisions surrounding digital higher education are made,
implemented and evaluated, it will also prove useful to
institutional leaders and policy makers in higher education.

Learning Design refers to research and development work that equips
teachers with tools and strategies to aid their design thinking.
Its origin stems from two lines of inquiry: (i) how to represent
teaching practice from a technical perspective in the development
and delivery of online learning environments; and (ii) how to
represent teaching practice in an appropriate form to enable
teachers to share ideas about innovative online pedagogy and think
about the process of design. The underlying premise of learning
design is that, if effective, teaching and learning practice can be
represented in a systematic way, thus supporting the process of
reuse, which could ultimately lead to improved practice. A large
international body of work has produced specifications of technical
standards to support the delivery of online learning, different
learning design representations to disseminate 'best practice'
examples to support and encourage adaptation, and software tools
and strategies to support the design process. This book presents a
view of current thinking about learning design and provides insight
into the future direction of this field of research and
development. It is a timely contribution that will stimulate
discussion about these issues and guide and advance the learning
design field. This book was originally published as a special issue
of Learning, Media and Technology.
In 31 full-color inspirational devotions, My Walk With Jesus Devotional Bible will bring encouraging hope to children facing cancer and other challenging health conditions. Each devotion is written from the heart of a child— applying promises from Jesus in scripture, to help them through the hard times in their lives. Children will also learn to see Jesus in a new way, as their very best friend. He loves them more than they could ever imagine, and He will carry them through every challenge they face. This book will remind children how Jesus is walking with them, and will never, ever leave their side... Below is an excerpt from MWWJDB “The hard things in life we have to go through are kind of like these puzzle pieces. We can only see a little tiny piece of our life at a time, but our Heavenly Father sees ALL of it, all put together" - Devotion 3, Pieces of His Plan "Jenna's written words will surely bring healing and touch hearts, as they reach with the love of Jesus. Thank you, Jenna, for your wonderful book.” -Bruce Marchiano Actor, Best-Selling Author, Producer, and Founder of Marchiano Ministries
