Eighteen-year-old Tiffany is intent on getting things settled
once and for all with her boyfriend, Jordan, who seems preoccupied
lately. When she learns she is pregnant, Tiffany heads to Jordan's
house to give him the news-only to find him in the arms of another
woman. Heartbroken, Tiffany decides to tag along with her father to
visit her grandmother in Memphis, hoping that the trip will provide
her with clarity. She has no idea that the trip will change her
life.
Desperate to fi nd some direction, Tiffany visits a local job
fair. But after a chance encounter with handsome US Navy recruiter
David Morgan, Tiffany is lured through the open door to his heart.
Torn between her loyalty to her baby's father and her newfound love
for David, Tiffany must now decide whether to accept David's
invitation to attend college near his naval base in West Virginia,
or stay back and try to make it work with a man who seems to have
no interest in her or their baby.
In this contemporary romance, as the seasons comes and go, a
young woman must reconcile her past before she can move into her
future with the one man she trusts with her heart.
Using innovative, participatory research methods, this book offers
new insights into the issues surrounding parental separation or
divorce from the unique perspective, and retrospectives, of young
adults. As they look back on their childhood, their views provide
valuable insights into how children experience and accommodate
their parents' separation. Drawing on the qualitative research
findings, Kay-Flowers develops a new framework to provide a useful
analytical tool for academics and practitioners working with
children and families to make sense of young people's experiences
and puts forward suggestions for improving support for children in
the future.

"A Spellbinding Tale of England's Most Passionate Queen-and the
Three Men Whose Destinies Belonged to Her Alone."
"Fast-paced...one of the most fascinating monarchs in
history."
"-New York Times Book Review"
"A stupendous achievement...a book that captures
Queen Elizabeth I completely."
"-Mainstream Historical"
Beloved for its stunning storytelling, "Legacy "offers an
exquisite portrait of the queen who defined an era. Tracing the
unlikely path from her tragic childhood to her ruthless
confrontations with Mary, Queen of Scots, and capturing in all its
glory her brilliant reign as Europe's most celebrated queen,
"Legacy "peels back the layers from a mysterious monarch and
satisfies the questions of history.
Winner of the Georgette Heyer Historical Novel Prize and the
Betty Trask Award, "Legacy "gives us Elizabeth the woman: proud,
passionate, and captivating in her intensity. She inspired men to
love her with bewitching devotion, no matter what the cost, but the
depth of her love for England required a sacrifice that would haunt
her to the grave.
"Full of dramatic twists and turns, not to mention a
scintillating central character and colorful supporting cast.
Readers will lose themselves for hours in this richly entertaining
novel."

If you enjoy stories, you will love Susan Scheid's "After
Enchantment." You meet Prince Charming, now a Buddhist, and Jesus,
over coffee. Sleeping Beauty has insomnia, the Wicked Witch
apologizes, the Big Bad Wolf even sneaks in through the dark.
Beautifully illustrated with watercolor images painted by the
author's sister, Elizabeth Scheid, this is not your ordinary poetry
collection, but a true artistic collaboration that you will want to
read over and over again. As Joseph Ross, author of "Meeting Bone
Man," states: "The comforting stories we learned as children
collide with the ragged world we inhabit as adults. Make no
mistake: these are not children's stories. Scheid's poems are
essential stories. Her poems speak from both sides of every prison
wall, from Mexico, Chile, and Haiti. Read these poems and you might
just live happily ever after."
