The holiday season is here, and the kids in Room 3B are learning
about all the different ways people celebrate. In addition to
Christmas and Hanukkah, there's Kwanzaa, Three Kings? Day, Korean
New Year, and more. All the talk about holidays has everyone
feeling festive. Everyone, that is, except Harry. He doesn't seem
to care about the holidays, the class pet, or even the new student
in class. It's clear that something is bugging Harry?but what could
it be?
Third grade brings lots of surprises, but one thing hasn't changed a bit--Harry and Sidney are still sworn enemies. And their relationship only gets worse when Sidney accidentally kills Harry's pet spider. But Harry comes up with a horribly funny way to get revenge during a class trip to a creepy copper mine.
Horrible Harry and his classmates all love Halloween. Everyone wears a costume to school-even Miss Mackle. Every Halloween Harry shocks his classmates with his scary costume. In kindergarten he was a bloody Count Dracula, in first grade he was the Loch Ness Monster, and in second grade he was a slithering snake. So everyone in Room 3B can't wait to see what Harry is going to be this year-and they're in for a really big surprise!
It?s a busy time in Room 2B?an ant observation project is beginning, Miss Mackle is teaching square dancing, and class pictures are being taken. Then one of the fish from the 2B fish tank goes belly-up! Is Harry to blame?
It's the last day of second grade, and Song Lee's having a party at the amusement park to celebrate. Harry can't wait to go on all the rides, except for one--THE DROP OF DOOM. Will Harry face his fear, or will he have to put up with Sidney's teasing all through third grade?
Doug discovers that though being Harry's best friend in Miss Mackle's second grade class isn't always easy, as Harry likes to do horrible things, it is often a lot of fun.
There?s a new rule at South School?if you misbehave, you go to the Suspension Room (or ?the Dungeon,? as the students of Room 2B call it). The rumors are flying about what actually goes on down there, but Harry won?t be satisfied until he finds out for himself. ?Fans of Song Lee, Harry, and Doug will enjoy the latest simple chapter-book about school matters that loom large and surprise you.? -- Booklist Suzy Kline is the author of ten books that star Horrible Harry and Song Lee. She lives in Connecticut. Frank Remkiewicz is the illustrator of the Horrible Harry and Song Lee books as well as the popular Froggy series. He lives in Florida.
When Harry finds an ad in the paper for a used telescope, Miss Mackle suggests that the class raise money to buy it. The telescope will make their moon study unit even more exciting! Once they get the telescope, the class can have a nighttime moonwatch. But Harry wants to do more than watch the moon-he wants to go there! Can Harry really take a trip into outer space?
