This book explores the (dis)connections between writing and womens
experience. Key western narratives of womens identity are
questioned, as are the literary methods used to construct those
narratives. It also explores the possibilities of reworking and
re-inventing ourselves. This is subversive writing that sets out to
destabilise and transform, requiring readers to imagine other
worlds. "Second Degree Tampering" is the criminal offence under USA
law which renders illegal the introduction of a virus into a
computer system. Such viruses become active weeks, months, even
years later -- when the programmer is absent -- often with
unpredictable effect.
