In order to give a broader and more technical understanding of the
philosophy underlying the Bhagavad-Gita, T Row, a distinguished
Indian scholar, explores 'the nature of the cosmos, the nature of
man, and the goal towards which all evolutionary progress is
tending'. Presented from both a Brahmanical and theosophic
viewpoint, "Notes" covers such topics as cosmic evolution,
consciousness, the Logos, yoga, avataras, initiation, immortality,
and the usage of many Sanskrit terms.

1917. Found in this volume are four Adyar Pamphlets. Spirits of
Various Kinds, No. 49, which is a study of those invisible beings -
conscious, semi-conscious, and entirely senseless - called by a
number of names in every country under the sun, and known under the
generic name of spirits. Adyar Pamphlet No. 78, Origin of Evil,
discusses the problem of the origin of evil being philosophically
approached only if the archaic Indian formula is taken as the basis
of the argument. In Star Angel Worship in the Roman Catholic
Church, Pamphlet No. 81, the subject matter was not chosen from any
desire of finding fault with the Christian religion. It merely
holds that there is no higher religion than truth. On the Bhagavad
Gita is the Adyar Pamphlet No. 17, and is a study of the Bhagavad
Gita, not being isolated from the rest of the Mahabharata.
1910. Thirty-six essays on a variety of esoteric, occult, and
spiritualist subjects. Sample essays: Twelve signs of the Zodiac;
Aryan-Arhat esoteric tenets on the sevenfold principle in man;
Esoteric spiritualism; Swami of Almora to his opponents; Buddhism
and ancient wisdom-religion; Bhagavad-Gita; Idyl of the White
Lotus; Letter to Madame H. P. Blavatsky.
