1917. Found in this volume are four Adyar Pamphlets. Spirits of
Various Kinds, No. 49, which is a study of those invisible beings -
conscious, semi-conscious, and entirely senseless - called by a
number of names in every country under the sun, and known under the
generic name of spirits. Adyar Pamphlet No. 78, Origin of Evil,
discusses the problem of the origin of evil being philosophically
approached only if the archaic Indian formula is taken as the basis
of the argument. In Star Angel Worship in the Roman Catholic
Church, Pamphlet No. 81, the subject matter was not chosen from any
desire of finding fault with the Christian religion. It merely
holds that there is no higher religion than truth. On the Bhagavad
Gita is the Adyar Pamphlet No. 17, and is a study of the Bhagavad
Gita, not being isolated from the rest of the Mahabharata.
