Sensei doesn’t exactly fit the normal mould for an otherworldly
hero: Moody, quirky, and weirdly comfortable with death, he seems
much more interested in finding inspiration for a new novel than in
doing anything adventurous. Yet when the fallen hero Kaibara the
Glutton terrorizes Princess Matilda, Sensei can feel the seeds of
an intriguing story starting to take root. Even in the face of
overwhelming power, perhaps his pen really is mightier than the
sword!
“A BROKEN MAN? I WOULD WELCOME SUCH AN OUTCOME.” Together,
heroes summoned from another world defeated the dreaded Dark
Lord–but those very same heroes have become an even greater
peril. They’ve made the world into their playground, using their
skills and powers for personal gain. But the melancholy author
known as “Sensei” is different. He alone has the power to send
his fellow otherworlders back home to Earth. Trouble is, he’s an
unreliable, unpredictable, and deeply moody fellow with absolutely
zero sense of self-preservation. When his party encounters a town
with an exploitative casino, Sensei develops a fascination with a
woman unjustly vilified as a “witch.” Holding pen in hand, he
spins the tale of a complex world where not all things are black
and white.
"I'M AN AUTHOR. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS." When the Dark Lord
perished, everyone thought an age of peace was at hand, but the
otherworldly heroes who defeated him wound up being an even bigger
problem. With their quest completed, they're running wild, using
their fantastical powers for personal gain. The newest
otherworlder, though, is a little different from the others. He has
no skills, no ambitions, and frankly, the way he keeps trying to
get himself killed all the time is a little worrying. Yet perhaps
the exact thing that will change this world isn't another
hero...but a simple author.
A second life in another world with cute girls by your side and
video gamey powers - sounds like a dream, right? Not so for a
certain melancholy author, who would quite literally rather drop
dead. Honestly, all the fantastical adventure is just getting in
the way of his poetic dream of finding the perfect place to die.
But no matter how much he risks his hide, everything seems to keep
turning out okay. Will our terminally depressed hero find a new
lease on life in this cheerfully bleak isekai comedy?
