Henry Adams, great-grandson of John Adams, grandson of John Quincy
Adams, and author of the Pulitzer Prize--winning The Education of
Henry Adams, is often overlooked as a serious political thinker.
Many scholars have dismissed his writings as cynical and bitter
while others regard him as a mere observer of American politics,
accepting Adams's description of himself as a "stable-companion to
statesmen." A Political Companion to Henry Adams suggests that he
was far more. In this provocative collection, editor Natalie
Fuehrer Taylor presents works by some of the leading political
thinkers in America today -- scholars who challenge conventional
judgments about the life and work of Henry Adams and credit him
with revealing key insights into the nation's evolving democracy. A
Political Companion to Henry Adams fills a long-standing gap in
scholarship that has devoted little attention to Adams's political
thought, offering a nuanced appreciation of his musings on the
human condition and political life at the eve of the twentieth
century.
Russel Williams is one of the most remarkable enlightened spiritual
teachers of our time. After an early life of extreme
hardship-leaving school at the age of 11, and becoming an orphan
shortly afterwards-he underwent a spiritual awakening at the age of
29. Since the late 1950s, he has been a spiritual teacher, and is
still actively teaching now, at the age of 94. Previously, Russel
has avoided publicity and never published any writings or
transcripts of his talks, preferring to work quietly with small
groups. This is the first time any details of his teachings or of
his life have appeared in print. This book is partly a record of
his teachings, and partly also the story of his extraordinary life.
Working with well-known spiritual author Steve Taylor-who has
attended Russel's meetings regularly since the 1990s-Russel has
created a profound text which will surely become known as a classic
of spiritual literature.

Lady Audley’s Secret epitomized the scandalous and irresistible "sensation" fiction of the period and established Braddon as the doyenne of the genre. Lady Audley, a beautiful woman with a mysterious past, serves as a commentary on the rise of the middle class and the consumer culture, and her fate reflects the public’s fascination with psychological theories about the nature of identity and the definition of madness.

Not realizing that she was falling into the ritual of a mundane
every day life, Candace just woke up one day to discover that she
wasn't happy. What prompted this abrupt mood change was that she
was falling in love with someone who seemed so unattainable that he
became that much more exciting and challenging to her. She learned
that the falling part was the best part of it all. This was no
ordinary mid-life crisis, this was a 180-degree turn that all of us
face time and again in life. The decision of whether to stay on the
current course or completely change everything seems so critical
that we become obsessed over it. In order to make the best
decision, we have to delve inside our true feelings to discover
what real self satisfaction means to us.
This book provides a detailed account of the processes of land supply, land exchange and land development for manufacturing industry. It has a practical case-study based approach which provides an understanding of the motives and behaviour of critical factors in the development process.
