Journey back to where it all started in this deluxe collection of
the classic Topps trading cards from 1993-just in time for the
theatrical release of Jurassic World: DominionJurassic Park was an
immediate blockbuster and has gone on to become a multimedia
franchise with five sequels, theme park attractions, comic books,
toys, and more-including a set of trading cards released by Topps
in 1993 to tie into the film. This comprehensive collection of the
original trading card series-timed to publish alongside Jurassic
World: Dominion-includes the fronts and backs of all of these
classic cards, plus the special chase cards and rare promotional
material. The book also includes text and commentary by Gary
Gerani, editor of the original series, and an afterword by Chip
Kidd, who created and designed the cover of Michael Crichton's
Jurassic Park, which became the iconic logo for the franchise.
Mars Attacks is a series of science fiction trading cards produced
by Topps in 1962, depicting the gruesome invasion of Earth by
Martians. The story unfolds over the course of the 55 card series,
showing futuristic battle scenes with Martians, and their cruel,
often bizarre methods of attack and torture. The series culminates
with a human insurrection and the destruction of Mars. The short
lived series retained it's devoted following and quickly became a
collectors item and remains hugely popular and influential today.
Tim Burton's 1996 movie adaptation of the story brought Mars
Attacks back to the forefront of pop culture and the upcoming 50th
anniversary in 2012 will do the same, introducing the story to a
new generation of fans. The book Mars Attacks will be the only book
ever created on the topic (the series was reprinted only once, 18
years ago in 1994 and is a collectors item). The book will include
rare and never before seen material (sketches, concept art, test
market materials), as well as an introduction by the series'
creator, Len Brown, and an afterword by Zina Saunders, daughter of
the original artist.
Following the success of Star Wars (1977) and The Empire Strikes
Back (1980), Topps released two brand-new sets of collectable
trading cards in 1983 to coincide with Return of the Jedi, the
final installment of George Lucas's original Star Wars trilogy.
Now, for the first time, all 220 cards and 55 stickers are
reprinted in one deluxe volume. As with the previous books in the
Topps series, this collection features the fronts and backs of each
card, including character profiles, story cards, movie facts,
quotes, trivia and puzzles featuring all of your favourite scenes
from Return of the Jedi. Also included is the Space Paintings
subset featuring production illustrations by concept artist Ralph
McQuarrie, four bonus trading cards, rare promotional images and an
introduction and commentary by Gary Gerani, the original editor of
the Star Wars Topps series.

Garbage Pail kids, a series of stickers produced by Topps in 1985
were designed to parody overly saccharine Cabbage Patch Kids. Each
sticker card features a Garbage Pail Kid character depicted in a
grotesque and biting image, christened with a humourous character
name involving wordplay. The series was the creation of Pulizer
Prize-winning cartoonist Art Spiegelman, who in collaboration with
other successful artists, turned the cads into a pop-culture
phenomenon. Garbage Pail Kids will feature all 206 rare and
hard-to-find stickers from Series 1 through 5, originally release
in 1985 and 1 986 and contains an introduction by Spiegelman.
Garbage Pail Kids includes a limited edition set of four rare and
unreleased stickers, is packaged in a wax-coated jacket and is
guaranteed to appeal to die-hard collectors as well as a new
generation of fans.
