Imelda Fowler, age 53, is the mother of two and a grandmother of three children. She is also a National and State Power Lifting champion (97 lbs. class), holding several records in the United States. A native of the Philippines, she came to America in 1980, when she was 20 years old. In the summer of 2004, her appendix burst and due to a misdiagnoses by a late-night intern, she lay septic and in excruciating pain for over 14 hours before she was properly diagnosed and the appropriate surgery performed. During that surgery and subsequent times thereafter, she died and returned "home" to a celestial realm of astonishing gardens full of vibrant "talking" flowers exploding with vivid colors that are impossible for any mortal language to describe accurately. While in the Spirit World, she met with family members who had previously "gone to the other side."
