It would seem that in the Christian realm, one of the biggest
problems is "infant death." In the physical we have developed
procedures and processes to reduce infant mortality but for some
reason we allow many new Christians to fall by the way, uncared
for. This book takes a great interest in seeing such an unfortunate
situation redressed. 'What To Do After Being Saved' creates an
awareness of the awesome need of the church and of converts. With
this awareness should come a desire for change for the better. In
recognizing its shortcoming, the church should adopt the stance
that Jesus Christ declared, in that of all that come, "I have lost
none." This book also highlights specific areas necessary for the
growth and development of converts. This is a tool which could be
put into the hands of converts to guide them into areas where they
could concentrate on their development in this new life. It also
serves as a deterrent to insularity. Some believe that once the
initial step is taken their mission is complete. Others believe
that staying home and listening to services on the radio and
television could suffice to grow as a Christian. Unfortunately,
some of the electronic media subtly condone such actions. 'What To
Do After Being Saved' can be used by churches as they begin their
follow-up with converts. These initial steps are very fundamental
to the establishing of the seed that has been planted in the hearts
of these Christians. Evangelism teams and persons doing personal
evangelism would find this an invaluable tool in directing the
attention of counsellors and to enable uniformity in approach. In
the final analysis one could determine fairly accurately where a
new Christian is in his/her development. This book is not a
replacement for local church affiliation or attendance but should
enable both the church and convert to achieve the same goal.
The early church was very effective - impacting the world with its
ministry and with the power of God. In this book, the author
discusses this effectiveness, which he believes can be regained if
we follow the New Testament pattern of the church. He concentrates
on some basic yet important teachings taken from the Scriptures
concerning the church of the Living God; that he believes if
followed, will greatly transform our churches and make believers
much more effective in this world. This book presents the church to
its readers in simple layman terms that all may be part of this
glorious church that Christ is building. There are a lot of
misconceptions concerning the Church and the State. Consequently,
this topic is addressed in this book, taking its principles from
the Scriptures. The church has been given the great task of making
disciples in a hostile world. How can this happen? This book deals
with the "how" of making disciples. Both in the Old and New
Testaments, we see God disciplining His people - members as well as
leaders. Yet, many churches do not discipline, their members nor
their leaders. This book shows that there must be discipline in the
church, for the church to be effective. The author discusses how
discipline should be administered and the reasons for administering
discipline. This book also addresses the importance of church
membership and gives Biblical reasons for it; as well as the
importance of accountability in the church. It deals with some
controversial offices of the church such as apostles and prophets.
Some people now make a big quarrel about not attending church on
certain days; the writer gives Biblical proofs for going to church
on Sunday, and places muchemphasis on having the presence of God in
the life of the church. As a matter of fact, the author believes
that if God is not in us, we are not of God. It also shows that
those who belong to the true church are members of the Body of
Christ. Therefore, God's people must unite to be effective in
carrying out His mandate.
About the author Thomas Eristhee was converted in his teens when a
young man in his community came and witnessed to him. He spent
several years in the church learning about God and all aspects of
church life-teaching Sunday school, preaching at weekly services
and serving as the president of the youth department. Thomas then
felt the Spirit of God impressing upon his heart to attend Bible
school. After a few years of indecision, he decided to heed God's
call upon his life. Thomas left his small business and attended the
West Indies School of Theology, where he obtained a Diploma in
Theology. After graduation he returned to his homeland, St. Lucia
in the West Indies, and started pastoring at a Pentecostal church.
That church experienced much growth under his leadership. Bishop
Eristhee holds a diploma from the West Indies School of Theology,
and a Graduate Diploma of Ministry with Glory Word Seminar in
Malaysia. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the
Caribbean College of the Bible International. He also attended the
Stephen Olford Center for Biblical Preaching, U.S. A. He received
his Master of Ministry Degree with Trinity Theological Seminary,
U.S.A., and his Doctor of Ministry with Covington Theological
Seminary, U.S.A.

look at where Satan really originated, what caused him to fall, how
he operates in the world (more specifically against the lives of
God's children) and where his doom lies, according to the word of
God. . Having read this book we can no longer sit idly back and
watch Satan taking our lives and families apart.
