mundliche Latein weit gehend unerforscht, was u. a. an der
Quellenlage liegt.
Universitaten.
Abrufen fester Textbausteine ermoeglichte.
gehend fixierte Kommunikation in wiederkehrenden
Gesprachskonstellationen, die die volkssprachige Mundlichkeit nicht
ersetzte, sondern erganzte. Der Autor liefert mit dieser Studie
einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Erforschung der mittelalterlichen
Latinitat und Kommunikationsgeschichte.
During the Middle Ages, the Papal Curia was the most important
addressee for learned Latin poetry within Europe. Much of it was
unsolicited; authors address their works to the Apostolic See, they
dedicate their writings to individual popes and glorify them in
panegyrics. The study examines the expectations and aims associated
with such poetry and to what extent the Curia responded to these
poetic offerings a " perhaps with material sponsorship for the
authors. For this, it develops the paths of communication, the
places of performance and modes of presenting this panegyric
poetry.
This volume combines a number of approaches to the history of the
conflict between religions and cultures. Contributions from
history, art and legal history, as well as Judaistic studies deal
with new conceptual considerations on the history of perceptions in
the Late Middle Ages and Early Modern period; above all
interpretations of non-European religions, of paganism in their own
European tradition, and how ecclesiastic law treated a
oenon-believersa in relation to the heretics. The second volume is
in preparation.
