Dabei geht es um die Ideologien und deren Durchfuhrung seitens der Herrschenden, sowie den Vergleich untereinander mit der Frage, ob die jeweils gesetzten Ziele erreicht wurden. Betrachtet werden daher weniger die konkreten Namenwechsel oder die Benutzung der Namen durch die Bevolkerung, sondern ihre Festsetzung seitens der Herrschenden. Eine besondere Bedeutung erhalt die im Titel erwahnte Idee der onomastischen Waffe', deren Anwendungsmoglichkeiten im Posener Gebiet herausgearbeitet und bewertet werden.
