Zu diesem Zweck wurden insgesamt 18 Experten von neun verschiedenen Marktparteien in knapp 19 Stunden befragt sowie 18 Fragebogen verschickt von denen 17 in der Arbeit Verwendung fanden. Die Interviews wurden in 93 Seiten transkribiert und einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse unterzogen. Zusatzlich wurden 204 Onlineartikel sowie 49 Studien und Artikel auf die gleiche Weise analysiert. So konnten im Verlauf der Szenarioanalyse drei Einflussbereiche mit funf Untergruppen, 116 Einflussfaktoren, 21 Trends, 12 Schlusselfaktoren sowie 34 Trendbruchereignissen identifiziert werden, die massgeblich den Untersuchungsgegenstand beeinflussen.
