Major reference source on the philosophy of Proust and the first
major collection of its kind Organised into seven clear sections,
examining the incredible range of Proust's work from a
philosophical standpoint The Routledge Philosophical Minds series
has established itself as the leading handbook series of its kind,
far more comprehensive and wide-ranging than the Cambridge
Companions or Oxford Handbooks
Action research continues to see a growth in interest both
internationally and across disciplines. This book demonstrates the
diversity in settings and focus for action research and provides a
guide to its core aspiration: to achieve principled change. Written
by authors from a range of countries and range of disciplines
(including education, health care, palliative care, social work and
community development), this book answers these key questions: How
can action research be used to achieve principled change? How has
action research been applied in various disciplines and in
different countries? What can be learnt about the conduct of action
research from these diverse settings? By means of detailed case
studies of successful projects and discussions that challenge and
raise theoretical questions, this book explores some of the
contemporary cutting edge applications and conceptualisations of
action research. Action research paves the way for the empowerment
of people involved in social action, and the examples of successful
change processes that are the core of this book will prove
inspirational and provide practical advice. Written by a range of
leading international researchers in the field, this book will
define the future for action research for years to come.

Patients who are confident of physicians' intellectual and
technical abilities are sometimes not convinced of their
professional behavior. Systemic and anecdotal cases of physician
misconduct, conflict of interest, and self-interest abound. Many
have even come to mistrust physicians as patient advocates. How can
patients trust the intellectual and technical aspects of medical
care, but not the professional? In order to enhance and promote
professionalism in medicine, one should expect it, encourage it,
and evaluate it. By measuring their own professional behavior,
physicians can provide the kind of transparency with which they can
regain the trust of patients and society.
Not only patients, but also institutions which accredit
organizations have demanded accountability of physicians in their
professional behavior. While there has been much lament and a few
strong proposals for improving professionalism, no single reliable
and valid measure of the success of these proposals exists. This
book is a theory-to-practice text focused on ways to evaluate
professional behavior written by leaders in the field of medical
education and assessment.
This Element explains Nietzsche's ethics in his late works, from
1886 onwards. The first three sections explain the basics of his
ethical theory - its context and presuppositions, its scope and its
central tension. The next three sections explore Nietzsche's goals
in writing a history of Christian morality (On the Genealogy of
Morality), the content of that history, and whether he achieves his
goals. The last two sections take a broader look, respectively, at
Nietzsche's wider philosophy in light of his ethics and at the
prospects for a Nietzschean ethics after Nietzsche.
Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 1997 im Fachbereich BWL -
Unternehmensfuhrung, Management, Organisation, Note: 1,3,
Karlsruher Institut fur Technologie (KIT) (Unbekannt), Sprache:
In diesem Modell -
