As he sets out to discover who is responsible he finds himself coming face-to-face with The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), the villainous commander of a terrorist group. With the lives of his loved ones in danger, Stark fights to save them and in the process begins to consider the truth about the connection between him and his powerful suit.

In an effort to reclaim his house Dennis accepts a job offer from Carver to evict others from their homes. But Dennis ends up going on a downward spiral, living a double life and caught between earning big money and having a guilty conscience.
