Defining our Truth - Living our Truth - Becoming our Truth: This is
the Key to True Happiness... This collection of pithy sayings and
poems unveils three different aspects of the self: the conditioned,
constructed, and True Self. In the process of reading through these
poems the reader is led into a series of questions and meditations
that guide them to their own Truth - whatever that may be. While
each person coming to these poems will have their own unique
approach to finding their truth, within these pages are found many
insights that will support, encourage, and empower them on their
journey to self-discovery.
There are millions of books on Christianity. What makes this book
different? It solidifies the Path Jesus set before us. This Path
leads to awakening the Christos within us. How do we do that? By
practicing those things Jesus instructed us to do? It is not easy.
In fact, it is one of the most difficult Paths to follow. We have
to carry our own cross by letting go of desire, fear, selfishness,
greed, attachments, and everything else we hold so dearly to. We
have to cleanse the inside of the cup by controlling our thoughts,
emotions, words, and actions while pulling ourselves out of the
unconscious muck we have buried ourselves in. The Path is scary,
lonely, tiresome, and difficult: this is the truth. I wish it was
easy, at least then I would not feel like a failure and a fraud all
the time because I cannot live up to it. This first of three books
on the Path of Christ leads the practitioner towards self-knowledge
and the embodiment of the 33 qualities of Christ. Those who walk
the Christian Path find fulfillment, wholeness, contentment,
tranquility, freedom, abundance, lasting happiness, and boundless
joy. To begin walking this Path we must be willing to let go of
ourselves (Luke 9:23-24).
What is the modern hero's journey? This book faithfully records one
man's adventures from the prisons of California to the American
streets; from the mythical realms of magic to the path of
parenthood. This journey led Tobias Moore to the Rainbow Family, to
Grateful Dead and Phish shows, raves, the underground punk
movement, and to the heights of heaven and depths of hell. On the
way Tobias had to die, fight off an evil sorcerer, and hike into
the mountains for a vision. This is a modern hero's journey. It is
not filled with Gods - but demons and disappointment; it does not
have magical potions - just drugs, pain, and ecstatic suffering.
This is not a story to be found in the stars; this is a story found
in the gutters and trash heaps of American culture. This is a story
about those who are walked on, spit on, and blamed for everything
wrong with society. This is a story of one man's journey to
self-discovery and to peace.
