The battle to protect Earth beyond the end of the Great Cycle of 2012 doesn't happen now, with our modern weapons and technology, but rather takes place a thousand years ago, in the times of the ancient Maya. William and his friends must overcome dangerous and bizarre challenges to rescue the Mayans who were abducted by the Grey Ones, and reach Chichen Itza to finish building the Castle of Kukulcan, and create a new Tree of Life. To succeed in their mission, they have to stop a damaging storm curse, while overcoming an invading army of Toltecs led by an evil shapeshifting feathered serpent. Fortunately, there are those who side with William and the Maya; a team of Toltecs led by Quetzalcoatl-the Maya call him Kukulcan. Although the Maya are greatly outnumbered, the bloodstone has become stronger than ever, and William needs to use his powers wisely in their final stand to save the world from the Mayan Apocalypse.

In the sequel to THE SERPENT PASSAGE (a sci-fi adventure in the times of the ancient Maya) the bloodstone is dying and must be revived in a ritual in the abandoned kingdom of Palenque. Along the way, William is confronted by demons, hostile feathered serpents, and other bizarre creatures that are determined to stop him. While William sleeps, he takes over the body of an owl, and tries to help the Mayans who were abducted by the Grey Ones.
