In 1971, journalist Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) and his companion Dr Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro) arrive in Las Vegas, ostensibly so Raoul can cover the Mint 400 off-track race. The duo embark on a massive drugs binge, checking into the Mint hotel before visiting the Bazzoka Circus casino while high on ether. The hedonistic weekend continues the following day, with Raoul and Gonzo meeting various way-out characters along the way. Watch out for cameos by Cameron Diaz, Christina Ricci and Gary Busey in Terry Gilliam's visually stunning adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's cult novel.

Darkly comic modern-day morality fable set in Green Lanes, North London. When Roadrunner (Daon Broni), an errand boy for local small time crook Mr Karva (James Cosmo, quite literally stumbles across a young abandoned child, he believes he has discovered an angel. Like an oracle, the silent child seems to be able to tell the future and fulfil people's innermost dreams. Karva's stepson Othello (David Leon) uses him to win bets - but soon everyone wants a piece of the action and father is pitted against son, friend against friend, as greed and lust for power spiral out of control.

All three of the Channel 4 dramas - entitled '1974', '1980' and '1983' - based on the dark, disturbing novels by David Peace, which give a fictionalised account of the chilling events and police corruption surrounding the hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper. The films star some of Britain's finest acting talent including Paddy Considine, Sean Bean, David Morrissey, Rebecca Hall, Peter Mullan, Maxine Peake and Andrew Garfield.
