When an individual speaks of prayer, many definitions may come to
mind. However, the true meaning can be defined as communicating
with God. In order for prayer to be effective there must be 2-way
communication, meaning that you cannot do all the talking, there
must be some listening on your part to the receiver of your
petition, which is God. In this book, you will find testimonials of
individuals that have learned that traditional praying is not
enough. It has to go further; one must have an effective prayer
life. According to dictionary. com, effective is defined as
adequate to accomplish a purpose; producing the intended or
expected result. So, if this is not what is taking place in your
prayer life, you will find within these pages ingredients that can
lead you into an effective prayer life. You may ask this question,
Why will it only lead me and not give me an effective prayer life?
Great question, the logic or reasoning behind this is because you
are going to get out of this process what you put in. There is no
sure way that anyone can tell you an absolute way to achieve an
effective prayer life. However, this book serves as a tool or
resource to assist you in your relationship with the Lord in the
areas of prayer. As you turn the pages of this book, you will find
yourself within some of the content and then will be able to grow
closer to God by the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that came
from these willing vessels of God. As I reviewed this book, the
words that come from these pages have gave me an even closer look
at my very own relationship and prayer life with God. In closing,
now it is your turn to experience this life-changing journey into
the Seven Ingredients to an Effective Prayer Life. The compiler, as
well as the co- authors of this book, did an excellent job in
providing relevant testimonials and biblical principles of what it
takes to achieve an effective prayer life. Realizing that this
cannot be done overnight, however with dedication and commitment it
can provide great success. I would exhort you to pay attention to
the first two ingredients featured and allow your spiritual taste
buds to recognize every detailed morsel. Then dive in and enjoy
this awesome dish of a book with the richness of the word and the
pure taste of God entitled Seven Ingredients to An Effective Prayer
Life (Volumes 1 & 2). In addition, stay tuned more volumes with
more ingredients to follow this one. I bid unto you great reading

In the latest publication from Daughters of Distinction, Seven
Ingredients to an Effective Prayer Life (Volumes Three through
Five), the contributors seamlessly take readers on a journey of the
continual process of sanctification in God s eyes. The writers
provide plenty of scriptural evidence, for the lasting fruit that a
prayer life rooted firmly in repentance, righteousness, and
holiness yields. Beginning with the practice of repentance as phase
one of living a lifestyle pleasing to the Lord; contributors have
masterfully illustrated their own unique experiences with what can
best be described as a pouring out of all that is and has become
unfruitful in each of our lives. In volume four, participants are
motivated to live a life of righteousness before God and each
other. Clearly, each of the authors in this volume, recognize that
over time believers can grow weary in well doing, and the
overarching theme in each writing is simply this - Do not give up
The writers are able to empathize with the readers by providing at
times personal testimonies of the vicissitudes of life. In the
final volume, contributors tackle the subject of holiness. It is
clear that an effective prayer life systematically built on the
consistent application of repentance and righteousness will yield a
lifestyle of perfected holiness. As Christian believers our
declaration that there is no God like our God, should compel each
of us to strive to be just like Him. With personal accounts of
lives transformed by a consistent prayer life and a fervent and
active pursuit of the holiness of God, the writers entice readers
to join them in their pursuit to please the Lord. In summation this
amalgamation of writings from some of the Kingdom s finest writers
leaves its readers with the following statement of truth, To err is
human, but to REPENT is both RIGHTEOUS and HOLY before our God
