3D printed electronics have captured much attention in recent
years, owing to their success in allowing on-demand fabrication of
highly-customisable electronics on a wide variety of substrates and
conformal surfaces. This textbook helps readers understand and gain
valuable insights into 3D printed electronics. It does not require
readers to have any prior knowledge on the subject.3D Printing and
Additive Manufacturing of Electronics: Principles and Applications
provides a comprehensive overview of the recent progress and
discusses the fundamentals of the 3D printed electronics
technologies, their respective advantages, shortcomings and
potential applications. The book covers conventional contact
printing techniques for printed electronics, 3D electronics
printing techniques, materials and inks inks for 3D-printed
electronics, substrates and processing for 3D-printed electronics,
sintering techniques for metallic nanoparticle inks, designs and
simulations, applications of 3D-printed electronics, and future
trends. The book includes several related problems for the reader
to test his or her understanding of the topics. This book is a good
guide for anyone who is interested in the 3D printing of
electronics. The book is also an effective textbook for
undergraduate and graduate courses that aim to arm their students
with a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of 3D printed
electronics.Related Link(s)

This book by Vietnamese and Russian authors is the first of its
kind and combines the extensive knowledge on the petrology and
metallogeny of the late Paleozoic - early Mesozoic and Cenozoic
periods in North Vietnam. The Permian - Triassic and Paleogene
volcano-plutonic and plutonic associations are two important
geological events in the evolutionary history of Southeast Asia,
including the 260 - 250 Ma Emeishan mantle plume and Indian-Eurasia
collision at 60 - 55 M. The volume includes 9 chapters, divided
into 3 parts. Part 1 introduces the geological structure of North
Vietnam; Part 2 covers the Permian - Triassic magma associations
and metallogeny; and Part 3 focuses on the Cenozoic magma
associations and metallogeny. In each chapter, the geological
setting of magmas, classification of different geological
structures, and composition characteristics, such as mineralogy,
geochemistry, isotope systematics and geochronology are discussed.
This book represents an important reference document for
international and Vietnamese geologists engaged in the geological
history and metallogeny of Vietnam, an important area of the Asian
continent. The monograph also has a practical significance in
contributing new premises and to assess rare and precious mineral
prospects. In addition, it can be regarded as a necessary data base
for petrological and metallogenic projects and university courses.
This book provides key ideas for the design and analysis of complex
energy management systems (EMS) for distributed power networks.
Future distributed power networks will have strong coupling with
(electrified) mobility and information-communication technology
(ICT) and this book addresses recent challenges for electric
vehicles in the EMS, and how to synthesize the distributed power
network using ICT. This book not only describes theoretical
developments but also shows many applications using test beds and
provides an overview of cutting edge technologies by leading
researchers in their corresponding fields. Describes design and
analysis of energy management systems; Illustrates the synthesis of
distributed energy management systems based on aggregation of local
agents; Discusses dependability issues of the distributed EMS with
emphasis on the verification scheme based on remote-operational
hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation and cybersecurity.

To tackle the challenges of the road estimation task, many works
employ a fusion of multiple sources. By that, a commonly made
assumption is that the sources always are equally reliable.
However, this assumption is inappropriate since each source has
certain advantages and drawbacks depending on the operational
scenarios. Therefore, Tuan Tran Nguyen proposes a novel concept by
incorporating reliabilities into the multi-source fusion so that
the road estimation task can alternately select only the most
reliable sources. Thereby, the author estimates the reliability for
each source online using classifiers trained with the sensor
measurements, the past performance and the context. Using real data
recordings, he shows via experimental results that the presented
reliability-aware fusion increases the availability of automated
driving up to 7 percentage points compared to the average
fusion.About the Author: Tuan Tran Nguyen received the Master's
degree in computer science and the Ph.D. degree from
Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Germany, in 2013 and 2019,
respectively. His research focuses on methods and architectures for
reliability-based sensor fusion in intelligent vehicles.
