The year was 2002 and our daughter was taken in a tragic accident; she was only 21. It's said that the loss of a child is "eternity's sorrow." On the tenth anniversary of Beth's passing, I made a bargain with God that for one week - seven days - I would go to the ocean and sit for one hour to watch, to listen. Perhaps through a miracle, I may hear of a new way to live, not a life of living in sorrow, but a life which becomes more from it. On the seventh day and seventh hour, that miracle showed itself.
