The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces. The USAF was initially a part of the U.S. Army, but was formed as a separate branch of the military in 1947 under the National Security Act. Although it is the most recent branch of the U.S. Military to be formed, the USAF is the most technologically advanced air force in the world. The Air Force e-Publishing Library's mission is to provide documents for Air Force customers worldwide, and supply life-cycle management of Air Force Electronic Publishing to enable product and service delivery to the end user, regardless of media in pace and in war. The United States Air Force e-Publishing Library collection contains manuals and reports describing the procedures and protocol necessary in various situations and circumstances. Some titles in the collection include: A Manual of Civil Engineer Bare Base Development, Guide to Mobile Aircraft Arresting System Installation, and Nuclear Weapons Accident and Incident Response. This publication is part of this Air Force e-Publications collection.

U.S. Air Force
R396 Discovery Miles 3 960 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This document focuses on the operational and strategic maneuver aspects of air warfare in theater and global operations. This document does not specifically address military operations other than war (MOOTW), but the doctrinal guidance in this document can be applied to MOOTW where appropriate. Furthermore, this document also does not specifically address airlift, but many portions apply to airlift as part of an overall air operation. Other doctrine documents provide specific guidance on MOOTW and airlift operations. Additional information on Air Warfare may be found in subordinate operational- and tactical-level doctrine.

The Roswell Report - Case Closed (Paperback): James McAndrews, U.S. Air Force The Roswell Report - Case Closed (Paperback)
James McAndrews, U.S. Air Force
R612 Discovery Miles 6 120 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

The Roswell Report: Case Closed is the second of two reports published by the United States Air Force to explain the events of the Roswell Incident that occurred in July of 1947. A follow-up to the report Fact Versus Fiction in the New Mexico Desert, Case Closed includes further analysis and discussion of the events. The Foreword explains, "Our objective throughout this inquiry has been simple and consistent: to find all the facts and bring them to light. If documents were classified, declassify them; where they were dispersed, bring them into a single source for public review." This report, published in 1997, includes a brand new Introduction from UFO expert and writer Stanton L. Friedman. The U.S. AIR FORCE is the aviation branch of the United States military. The headquarters of this branch authorized several research projects on the origin and existence of UFOs and published multiple reports of their findings from the 1950s through the 1980s. It is still the subject of speculation today whether the U.S. Air Force is responsible for a large-scale cover-up of UFO and extraterrestrial evidence.

First Aid (Paperback): U.S. Navy, and U.S. Air Force U.S. Army, U. S. Marine Corps First Aid (Paperback)
U.S. Navy, and U.S. Air Force U.S. Army, U. S. Marine Corps
R815 Discovery Miles 8 150 Ships in 10 - 15 working days

This manual meets the first aid training needs of individual service members. Because medical personnel will not always be readily available, the nonmedical service members must rely heavily on their own skills and knowledge of life-sustaining methods to survive on the integrated battlefield. This publication outlines both self-aid and aid to other service members (buddy aid). More importantly, it emphasizes prompt and effective action in sustaining life and preventing or minimizing further suffering and disability. First aid is the emergency care given to the sick, injured, or wounded before being treated by medical personnel. The term first aid can be defined as "urgent and immediate lifesaving and other measures, which can be performed for casualties by nonmedical personnel when medical personnel are not immediately available." Nonmedical service members have received basic first aid training and should remain skilled in the correct procedures for giving first aid. This manual is directed to all service members. The procedures discussed apply to all types of casualties and the measures described are for use by both male and female service members. This publication is in consonance with the following North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) International Standardization Agreements (STANAGs) and American, British, Canadian, and Australian Quadripartite Standardization Agreements (QSTAGs).
