A double bill of alien chasing. In 'MIB', after chasing a fugitive
with an advanced alien weapon, New York cop James Edwards (Will
Smith) finds himself recruited to the MiB, a top secret agency in
charge of alien immigration on Earth. He is partnered with K (Tommy
Lee Jones), and sent to investigate an alien prediction of the end
of the world. They have to track down a hostile alien life form
currently wearing the human skin of a country hick named Edgar.
Whilst in 'MIIB' it is some four years later and K (Lee Jones) has
returned to a civilian life, working as a postman and quite unaware
of his former heroics alongside Agent J (Smith). But when J
uncovers a secret alien plot organised by the seemingly seductive
Serleena (Lara Flynn Boyle) he has to call on K again.
Unfortunately K has no memory of his former role as
'Saver-of-the-World', but somewhere in his head is the expertise
that can save the Earth, if only J can get him onside in time.
Hancock
John Hancock (Smith) is a conflicted, alcoholic superhero whose heroics have saved many lives. Unfortunately, the damage he always leaves in his wake has caused him to lose the support of the public. When Hancock saves the life of PR executive, Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman), Ray makes it his mission to change Hancock's image and help him regain the support of the people. Hancock grudgingly accepts and Ray convinces him to turn himself into the authorities who subsequently imprison him for his lawless behaviour. As the crime rate begins to increase, the people of Los Angeles realise just how important Hancock was to the safety of the city. With his reputation restored, everything seems right again... until Hancock meets Ray's wife (Charlize Theron), a woman with similar powers to his own, who may hold the key to his secret past.

What is the secret of John Henry Newman's enduring appeal? It
perhaps lies in the freshness and persuasiveness and brilliance of
his descriptions of Christianity. The word Newman often uses to
describe the process of becoming a Christian is not 'faith' or
'belief' but 'realization'. The moment when 'one opens one's heart
to a truth'. This collection of sermons - the ones Newman himself
thought were his best - is the ideal introduction to one of the
greatest writers in the Christian tradition.

Laying down the foundations of a critical sociological approach to
the interdisciplinary domain of public policy, this insightful book
presents the first systematic reflection on the use of Bourdieu’s
theory of social fields to analyse policy processes. Engaging with
theoretical dimensions, it provides innovative methodological
tools, both quantitative and qualitative in nature, to be used in
the wider field of policy studies. Bringing together expert
contributors from across the globe, the book explores a diverse
range of case studies on various policy sectors and processes such
as international policy circulation and policy implementation.
Offering a wealth of critical analysis, chapters highlight the
unsatisfactory nature of mainstream policy approaches and advocate
for the use of Bourdieu’s sociological theory to account for the
social milieus, structures of relationships, and power dynamics in
which public policies are made. Encompassing numerous actors and
groups, this theory enables a critical sociological understanding
of policy orientations by unveiling the structures of relationships
in policymaking. Innovative and perceptive in its approach, this
book will prove to be an important resource for scholars and
students interested in the fields of critical policy studies,
public policy, public administration and management, and sociology.

At the close of the nineteenth century in the Ozark Plateau,
lawlessness ruled. Lawmakers, in bed with moonshiners and
bootleggers, fueled local crime and turned a blind eye to egregious
wrongdoing. In response, a vigilante force emerged from the Ozark
hills: the Bald Knobbers. They formed their own laws and alliances;
local ministers donned the Knobber mask and brought "justice" to
the hills, lynching suspected bootleggers. As community support and
interest grew, reporters wrote curious articles about Knobber
exploits. Join Vincent S. Anderson as he uncovers these peculiar
reports including trials, lovers' spats ending in coldblooded
murder and Ozark vigilante history that inspired a folk legend.
