This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 18th
International Conference on Distributed and Computer and
Communication Networks, DCCN 2015, held in Moscow, Russia, in
October 2015. The 38 revised full papers presented were carefully
reviewed and selected from 94 submissions. The papers cover the
following topics: computer and communication networks architecture
optimization; control in computer and communication networks;
performance and QoS evaluation in wireless networks; modeling and
simulation of network protocols; queuing and reliability theory;
wireless IEEE 802.11, IEEE 802.15, IEEE 802.16, and UMTS (LTE)
networks; FRID technology and its application in intellectual
transportation networks; protocols design (MAC, Routing) for
centimeter and millimeter wave mesh networks; internet and web
applications and services; application integration in distributed
information systems; big data in communication networks.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 17th
International Conference on Distributed Computer and Communication
Networks, DCCN 2013, held in Moscow, Russia, in October 2013.
The 22 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and
selected from numerous submissions.
The papers cover the following subjects: computer and communication
networks architecture optimization; control in computer and

This book is devoted to the generalization and systematization of
the models and methods to study the cyclic polling systems and
their application to design and optimize the broadband wireless
networks. New polling models adequately describing the performance
of the broadband wireless Wi-Fi and Wi-MAX networks with PCF are
presented. We provide the definition and classification of polling
systems. Much attention is given to methods for analysis and
optimization of the polling systems. In addition to classical
polling models, we consider the reservation schemes to poll the
queues, models with threshold service and new models with limited
service, which are of great theoretical and practical interest. We
briefly review the priority queueing systems similar to polling
ones with priority-type service policy. The numerical results of
design and performance estimation of the broadband wireless
networks with PCF and adaptive dynamical polling are obtained on
the base of polling models and are shown in the text. The book is
intended for specialists in the field of stochastic systems,
computer network designers, post-graduates and students of the
technical universities.
