While we are desperately trying to hold on, manage our daily responsibilities through the ache or find a small reason to keep smiling, hope springs eternal and convinces us that there is something in life more powerful than bad people or tough circumstances. Money cannot buy it but hope is always available. People cannot fabricate it but hope is more real than agony. This book is about a difficult chapter in my life when every day I took hold of hope. It was always strong. When I felt alone, it gave me soothing company. After the pain kept increasing, hope was a salve to make every day count. The temptation to give up is strong when disappointment with people is overwhelming; however, hope keeps giving the stamina to put one foot in front of the other and let real life win.
