This book provides foundations for the understanding and design of computation-efficient algorithms and protocols for those interactions with environment, i.e., wireless communication systems. The book provides a systematic treatment of the theoretical foundation and algorithmic tools necessarily in the design of computation-efficient algorithms and protocols in stochastic scheduling. The problems addressed in the book are of both fundamental and practical importance. Target readers of the book are researchers and advanced-level engineering students interested in acquiring in-depth knowledge on the topic and on stochastic scheduling and their applications, both from theoretical and engineering perspective.
This book identifies that "Xiang thinking" is the eidetic connotation and a fundamental trait of traditional Chinese thinking, offering insights of considerable methodological significance. "Xiang thinking" is a mode of thinking different from conceptual thinking or idealized rational thinking and, in a certain sense, it is more primal. In the past century, particularly since 1949, the primary works on Chinese philosophical history have, as a rule, addressed the ancient Chinese tradition of philosophical ideas by virtue of the philosophies of Plato, Descartes and Hegel: methods that inherently challenge Chinese philosophical insights. This has naturally led to the fact that the insights as such remained obscured. This book starts to reverse this trend, intending to help Chinese people understand and appraise themselves in a more down-to-earth fashion. In addition, it is particularly helpful to people of other cultures if they want to understand ancient Chinese philosophy and culture in a context of fresh and inspiring philosophical ideas. This monograph provides a detailed and systematic introduction to the application of deep learning technology in the intelligent monitoring of crop diseases and pests. Taking 24 types of crop pests, wheat aphids, and wheat diseases with complex backgrounds as examples, a large-scale crop pest and disease dataset was constructed to provide necessary data support for the deep learning module. Various schemes for identifying and detecting large-scale crop diseases and pests based on deep convolutional neural network technology have also been proposed. It has been divided into five sections: “Mutual Learning Among Civilizations,” “Hot Issues,” “About China,” “Sino-U.S. Relations” and “Cultural Collision”. The interviews are with more than 50 eminent scholars, scientists, politicians, authors, etc., from different parts of the world as well as China, who have an association with China and see the real China beyond the stereotypes. Besides current global issues, the book also covers Chinese culture, history as well as China-U.S. relations, described as one of the most important bilateral relationships in the world today. The book aims to build a platform for dialogue among different civilizations and appreciate the “harmony within diversity” of different cultures, especially of the East and West. We hope it will foster tolerance and rationality, dispelling the misconceptions about China in particular.

Therefore, as such an exploratory research, limitations are unavoidable. This book summarises the main achievements of the presented research through systematic generalisation. This book also serves as a Chinese characteristic reference material and research perspective for the school of mental health education and sound psychological suzhi cultivation.
