Hugo and World Fantasy Award nominated editor Warren Lapine
celebrates twenty years in genre publishing with his latest effort,
Fantastic Stories of the Imagination. This anthology contains
fourteen nicely varied stories by some of the top names in genre
publishing and several new up-and-comers. Included are Harlan
Ellison, Mike Resnick, Barry B. Longyear, Kelly McCullough,
Shariann Lewitt, Tom Piccirilli, Trent Zelazny, Sharon Lee, Steve
Miller, and many others. The stories range from edgy cyberpunk to
urban fantasy, and they'll stay with you long after you've closed
the book. Explore what it means to be human and experience the
depth of despair and heights of joy that come along it. These
stories do not disappoint.-SF Scope
Collected here for the first time are seventeen stories from World
Fantasy and Hugo Award nominee Warren Lapine. These stories are
diverse and imaginative, compellling and exciting, as they take you
down paths you might never have found on your own. Here you'll meet
astronauts, famous dead rock stars, cyborgs, vampires, mercenaries,
dragons, knights, artists, clones, aliens, and much, much more.
Lapine ranges effortlessly from hard sf to dark fantasy and back
again. And since each story has an afterword where Lapine explains
how it came to be and what it means in the context of his varied
career, you can get a glimpse into the creative process that
produced these works.
Collected here for the first time are sixteen interviews and
articles with and about the hottest band in the world: KISS. Warren
Lapine is an experienced interviewer and a long time KISS fan. This
book is just what the doctor ordered for the hard core KISS fan.
These interviews are insightful and intelligent, Lapine asks Paul
Stanley and Gene Simmons the questions that KISS fans want to have
answered.
