The second of three epic instalments in director Peter Jackson's
blockbuster prequel to 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy. Set in
Middle-Earth 60 years before events in 'The Lord of the Rings', the
story follows the adventures of Hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin
Freeman), who, at the instigation of the wizard Gandalf (Ian
McKellen), suddenly finds himself co-opted into joining a company
of 13 Dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) to help
reclaim the lost kingdom of the Lonely Mountain from the clutches
of Smaug the dragon (voice of Benedict Cumberbatch). In this film,
while Gandalf heads south on his own, Bilbo, Thorin and the Dwarves
enter the treacherous Mirkwood Forest on their way to the mountain.
When they reach Lake-town Bilbo will have to perform the role he
was assigned at the start of the quest - to find a secret door that
will lead him to the lair of the dragon...

The fourth outing in the popular espionage action thriller
franchise based on the Jason Bourne novels by Robert Ludlum.
Written and directed by Tony Gilroy, who scripted the first three
films, the film moves away from the central Bourne character
(played in the opening trilogy by Matt Damon) to focus on a new
protagonist, CIA operative Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner). The film,
which takes up events where 'The Bourne Ultimatum' left off, sees
Cross making the vow to give himself over completely to 'the
operation', and quickly proving himself to be the shining star in a
new generation of deadly undercover assassins. Rachel Weisz and
Edward Norton co-star, while pivotal roles from the previous films
are reprised by Joan Allen, David Strathairn, Albert Finney and
Scott Glenn.

Readers fell in love with Cannie Shapiro, the smart, sharp-tongued,
bighearted heroine of "Good in Bed" who found her happy ending
after her mother came out of the closet, her father fell out of her
life, and her ex-boyfriend started chronicling their ex-sex life in
the pages of a national magazine.
Now Cannie's back. After her debut novel -- a fictionalized (and
highly sexualized) version of her life -- became an overnight
bestseller, she dropped out of the public eye and turned to writing
science fiction under a pseudonym. She's happily married to the
tall, charming diet doctor Peter Krushelevansky and has settled
into a life that she finds wonderfully predictable -- knitting in
the front row of her daughter Joy's drama rehearsals, volunteering
at the library, and taking over-forty yoga classes with her best
friend Samantha.
As preparations for Joy's bat mitzvah begin, everything seems
right in Cannie's world. Then Joy discovers the novel Cannie wrote
years before and suddenly finds herself faced with what she thinks
is the truth about her own conception -- the story her mother hid
from her all her life. When Peter surprises his wife by saying he
wants to have a baby, the family is forced to reconsider its
history, its future, and what it means to be truly happy.
Radiantly funny and disarmingly tender, with Weiner's whip-smart
dialogue and sharp observations of modern life, "Certain Girls" is
an unforgettable story about love, loss, and the enduring bonds of
family.
The field of marketing science has evolved significantly in the
last 70 years. Throughout its rich history, developments in this
field have always been anchored on marketing phenomena that drew on
economics, statistics, operations research, and related
disciplines. This book reviews the accomplishments of notable
marketing scientists in several research areas. It emphasizes both
the role and the importance that pioneers in marketing science have
had in the rapid development of this field and honors those
contributions. This second edition of the book offers updates of the
former chapters and six new chapters on emerging areas of marketing
science including machine learning, field experimentation methods,
and internet marketing. Combined with older areas of research like
endogeneity, services, and market segmentation, this book provides
a road map for the development of 22 areas of marketing science,
which not only is useful from a historical perspective but also
identifies important gaps in the literature which can provide an
impetus for future research. As such, it provides an important
resource for the main consumers of the academic marketing research
literature: doctoral students, faculty, and marketing science
practitioners in consulting firms and companies.

'If you have time for only one book this summer, pick this one' New
York Times 'An ambitious, immersive novel from the author of In Her
Shoes' Red Magazine 'Engrossing' Sunday Mirror
____________________________ From No. 1 New York Times bestselling
author, comes a warmhearted and empowering new novel about love,
family, friendship, secrets, and the power of a trip to change your
life. Thirty-four-year-old Abby Stern has made it to a happy place,
with good friends, her bike, and her bike club in Philadelphia.
She's at peace with her plus-size body - at least, most of the time
- and she's on track to marry her childhood sweetheart. Abby and
Mark met at the weight-loss camp Abby's perpetually-dieting mother,
Eileen, forced her daughter to attend. Fifteen years later, when
Abby reconnects with a half-his-size Mark, and finds out that he
still adores her, it feels like fate. Yet Abby can't escape the
feeling that something isn't right . . . or the memories of one
mind-blowing night spent with a man named Sebastian two years ago.
So when she gets a last-minute call to lead a group bike trip from
New York City to Niagara Falls, Abby is happy to have time away to
make up her mind. But on the first day, Abby is shocked when she
sees Sebastian in the tour group. A serial dater, Sebastian is far
from Mr Perfect, and Abby is determined to keep her distance, even
if their chemistry is undeniable. To make things worse, Eileen,
whom Abby blames for a lifetime of body shaming and insecurities,
also joins the group unexpectedly. Over the next two weeks,
strangers become confidantes, hidden truths come to light, and a
teenage girl with a secret will unite all the riders in surprising
ways - while all of Abby's certainties about herself, her mother,
and the nature of love are challenged. ____________________________

Strayed, author of Wild Jennifer Weiner is many things: a
bestselling author, a Twitter phenomenon, and an "unlikely feminist
enforcer" (The New Yorker). She's also a mom, a daughter, and a
sister, a clumsy yogini, and a reality-TV devotee. In this
"unflinching look at her own experiences" (Entertainment Weekly),
Jennifer fashions tales of modern-day womanhood as uproariously
funny and moving as the best of Nora Ephron and Tina Fey. No
subject is off-limits in these intimate and honest essays: sex,
weight, envy, money, her mother's coming out of the closet, her
estranged father's death. From lonely adolescence to hearing her
six-year-old daughter say the F word-fat-for the first time, Jen
dives into the heart of female experience, with the wit and candor
that have endeared her to readers all over the world.
