A Nightmare On Elm Street
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge
A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child
A Nightmare On Elm Street 6: Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare
A Nightmare On Elm Street 7: Wes Craven's New Nightmare
This collection includes all three films from Wes Craven's Scream trilogy. In Scream, the residents of a small town are victimised by a masked predator who mimics horror films with real life acts of terror. In Scream 2, a crazed copycat killer begins to act out a chilling real-life sequel to the Woodsboro murders. Scream 3 sees Sidney Prescott come out of hiding and, along with the other Woodsboro survivors, finds herself drawn into another adventure.
Fourth instalment in the slasher horror franchise. Ten years on from the events of the previous film, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has finally managed to put the horrific events of her past behind her, and returns to her hometown of Woodsboro on a promotional tour for her recently published self-help book. Unfortunately for her and her childhood friends Dewey and Gale (David Arquette and Courteney Cox), the Ghostface Killer has chosen the ten-year anniversary of the Woodsboro murders to begin a new killing spree in the town - and this time he is broadcasting the whole thing live on the internet.
Debut film for everyone's favourite psychotic slasher, Freddy Krueger. When American teenager Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp) begins to suffer from nightmares, she discovers that many of her friends are having similarly disturbed nights' sleep. Their dreams are haunted by the hideously scarred former child murderer Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) who, it soon transpires, has the power to kill them in their sleep. Freddy is out to exact his revenge on the children of those who burned him alive in retribution for his crimes. The only way to avoid Freddy's reprisals is to avoid sleep, but Nancy knows that she can't stay awake for ever.
Wes Craven directs this cult horror. Bill Pullman plays a young anthropologist who is sent to Haiti by an American pharmaceutical company to find the drug used by voodoo priests to revive the dead. Although initially sceptical, he becomes tangled in the web of an alien culture involving blood rites, snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, zombie brides and torture.
