Insbesondere konnte das sehr umfangreiche Gebiet der Zusatzvorrichtungen, mit deren Hilfe das Ar- beitsgebiet der spitzenlosen . Rundschleifmaschine vielfaltig zu erweitern ist, nicht behandelt werden. Was in diesem Buche gebracht wird, ist allen spitzenlosen Rundschleifmaschinen gemeinsam. I. Einfuhrung. 1. Begriff des spitzenlosen Schleifens. Der Ausdruck "spitzenloses Schleifen" hat sich als Begriff fur eine besondere Arbeitsweise bereits weitgehend eingebur- gert, denn er betont, dass das Schleifen "spitzenlos" vor sich geht, d. h. ohne dass das Werkstuck zwischen Koernerspitzen aufgenommen wird. Beim Spitzenschleifen geben die Koernerspitzen dem Werkstuck den Halt und nehmen den Gegendruck der Schleifscheibe auf. Ausserdem fuhren sie gegebenenfalls das Werkstuck durch Bewegung des Schlittens vor der Schleifscheibe hin und her. Durch den Wegfall dieser Aufnahme in den Koernerspitzen muss fur das Werkstuck eine andere Gegen- lage zur Aufnahme des Schleifdruckes geschaffen, es aber gleichzeitig auf andere Weise in Achsrichtung vor der Schleifscheibe bewegt werden. Als drittes kommt hin- zu, dass die Drehung des Werkstuckes, welche sonst durch aufgesetztes Drehherz und Mitnehmer erreicht wird, auf andere Weise erzielt werden muss. Beim spitzenlosen Schleifen werden diese Forderungen nun auf verbluffend einfachem Wege erfullt. Die ausserordentliche Zeit- und Arbeitsersparnis macht dieses Schleifverfahren neben sonstigen Vorzugen noch besonders wertvoll. In Abb.
