Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

The Dictionary of German Literature. The 20th Century contains authors writing in German whose main work was created in the 20th century. Volume 14 includes articles on KAte Hamburger, Peter Handke, Maximilian Harden and Ludwig Harig. In line with the Dictionary's orientation, there are also entries on numerous well-known representatives of their disciplines, e.g. the historian Ludo Moritz Hartmann, the philosopher Nicolai Hartmann, the theologian and church historian Adolf Harnack, the alpinist and explorer Heinrich Harrer.

Volume 17 includes articles on Stephan Hermlin, Wieland Herzfelde and Hermann Hesse, among others. In keeping with the focus of the encyclopedia, there are also entries on numerous well-known representatives of their respective disciplines, e.g. film director Werner Herzog, and publicist and journalist Theodor Herzl.

The Deutsches Literatur-Lexikon is one of the best known, most comprehensive and most reliable reference works on German literature. Spanning the ages, the work encompasses writers from all eras, ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day. Volume 28 contains, among other, articles on Walther von der Vogelweide, Fred and Maxie Wander, Aby Warburg, Jakob Wassermann and Max Weber. In line with the encyclopedia's broad definition of the term literature, information is also included on numerous specialists in their fields, e.g. conductor Bruno Walter and footballer Fritz Walter.

The publication of the double fascicle 38/39 concludes the Deutsches Theater-Lexikon.

Volume 12 includes articles on Gustav Arthur GrAser, Oskar Maria Graf, GA1/4nter Grass, Fritz Gross, Mimi Grossberg, George Grosz, or the journalist Alfred Grosser. In line with the encyclopaedia's broad definition of the term literature, information is also included on numerous specialists in their field, e.g. psychiatrist Otto Gross and medical scientist Georg Walter Groddeck.

In line with the encyclopaedia's orientation, information is also included on numerous specialists in their field, e.g. indologist Helmuth von Glasenapp and cultural historian Eberhard Gothein.
