Um diese These nachzuvollziehen stelle ich in dieser Arbeit, neben den zwei Banden der Geschichte der Gouvernementalitat," auch Die Sorge um sich" und Der Willen zum Wissen" vor. Diese Arbeit beansprucht nicht fur sich vollstandig und umfassend zu sein. Im weiteren Verlauf werde ich Lemkes Theorie nur an Hand des Begriffs Bevolkerung untersuchen. Obwohl der Bevolkerungsbegriff hier Gegenstand meiner Untersuchung sein soll, ist auch diese eingeschrankte Untersuchung nicht vollstandig, da ich mich auf die Vorlesungen in Geschichte der Gouvernementalitat I&II," Der Wille zum Wissen" und Die Sorge um sich" beschranke.
