FALSTAFF was Verdi's last opera, written six years after OTHELLO, and is featured on DVD in this production from 2001, the 100th anniversary of Verdi's death. As staged by Herbert Wernicke at the Festival de Musique d'Aix-en-Provence, this was one his last production before his untimely death in 2002. The Orchestre de Paris was conducted by Enrique Mazzola.
