Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not
used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad
quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are
images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to
keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the
original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain
imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made
available for future generations to enjoy.
The challenge was set- OThe Salt Spring area has been reported to
have historical significance. Little information has been compiled
by the park to document or corroborate the events and history of
the site in and near the park that have occurred since the 1800s.
Effort should be made to compile this history through research,
outreach to the local historical society and oral history
interviews of knowledgeable local residents.O- This book is an
answer to that challenge. Covering activities around Saltworks from
Tampa Bay to Cedar Key and beyond, it is an attempt to document and
explain one facility in one area, before the story is lost to time.
As a State Park, Werner-Boyce Salt Springs is very young. The

This photograph collection records the wildlife I found while
looking for, and looking at, the boardwalks of Florida. It is not a
scientific journal, nor a guide book. Rather, it is a mosaic of
images from my wanderings. This is a book that grew out of a photo
essay on Boardwalks. Having studied building construction in
college and in the fire service, the nuts and bolts, or rather, the
screws and planks of elevated hiking trails intrigued me.
Boardwalks can be art unto themselves. Coupled with their remote
settings, sometimes hidden deep in Edenesque surroundings, they
became my target and destination. What was once a simple photo
essay grew and grew until it became three books and a library of
over 10,000 photographs and 100 videos.
There are 240 rustic Florida boardwalk hiking trails listed with
their street addresses in this book. This book also shows full
color photographs of over 70 of the unique boardwalk hiking trails
hidden in the Forests, parks, and preserves of Florida. From the
Author of "Boardwalks and Long Walks", this book briefly discusses
the form and function of boardwalks while showing the natural
settings of these unique structures.

high-quality digital copies of original 18th century manuscripts
are available in print, making them highly accessible to libraries,
undergraduate students, and independent scholars. The Age of
Enlightenment profoundly enriched religious and philosophical
