This thesis reports advances in terahertz time-domain spectroscopy,
relating to the development of new techniques and components that
enhance the experimentalist's control over the terahertz
polarisation state produced by photoconductive emitters. It
describes how utilising the dynamic magnetoelectric response at THz
frequencies, in the form of electromagnons, can probe material
properties at a transition between two magnetically ordered phases.
Additionally, preliminary investigations into the properties of
materials exposed to extreme terahertz optical electric fields are
reported. The work presented in this thesis may have immediate
impacts on the study of anisotropic media at THz frequencies, with
photoconductive emitters and detectors being the most commonly used
components for commercially available terahertz spectroscopy and
imaging systems, and by providing a new way to study the nature of
magnetic phase transitions in multiferroics. In the longer term the
increased understanding of multiferroics yielded by ultrafast
spectroscopic methods, including terahertz time-domain
spectroscopy, may help develop new magnetoelectric and multiferroic
materials for applications such as spintronics.

"What Color Was Jesus?" shatters the myth of a blond-haired,
blue-eyed Jesus and examines the psychological effect of the white
image of Christ.
Title: Speech of William M. Hall of New York: in favor of a
national rail road to the Pacific: at the great Chicago convention,
July 7, 1847: also a review of the Tehuantepec route, embracing the
famous Garay Grant, Sloo contract and other routes and plans,

Description: Based on Joseph Sabin's famed bibliography,
Bibliotheca Americana, Sabin Americana, 1500--1926 contains a
collection of books, pamphlets, serials and other works about the
Americas, from the time of their discovery to the early 1900s.
Sabin Americana is rich in original accounts of discovery and
exploration, pioneering and westward expansion, the U.S. Civil War
and other military actions, Native Americans, slavery and
abolition, religious history and more.Sabin Americana offers an
up-close perspective on life in the western hemisphere,
encompassing the arrival of the Europeans on the shores of North
America in the late 15th century to the first decades of the 20th
century. Covering a span of over 400 years in North, Central and
South America as well as the Caribbean, this collection highlights
the society, politics, religious beliefs, culture, contemporary
opinions and momentous events of the time. It provides access to
documents from an assortment of genres, sermons, political tracts,
newspapers, books, pamphlets, maps, legislation, literature and
more. Now for the first time, these high-quality digital scans of
original works are available via print-on-demand, making them
readily accessible to libraries, students, independent scholars,
and readers of all ages.++++The below data was compiled from

Bill Mosley believes the book of Revelation has had a bad rap --
while it has the reputation of being a gloomy diatribe about a
terrible Day of Judgment and Wrath, it is actually full of action
and praise of God. "Paradise Restored" is a set of 15 practical and
positive meditations that invites readers to take a new look at
this most misunderstood book in the Bible. Focusing on how
Revelation proclaims the cross and celebrates salvation rather than
on dreary apocalyptic adventures, these uplifting messages
emphasize the message of Christ's redemptive power that lies at the
core of all its colorful symbolism.
"Paradise Restored" provides a complete integrated preaching
program that ties together the Lenten pilgrimage with the Easter
celebration. Seven sermons for Ash Wednesday and Lent examine each
of the letters to the seven churches in Asia Minor that comprise
the second and third chapters, while additional messages for Good
Friday and the seven Sundays of Easter are based on other texts
from Revelation (mostly lectionary pericopes). John's vision thus
moves from the practical considerations of the seven churches to
the glorious sight of the New Heaven and the New Earth. But this
book isn't only for preachers -- it's also great for devotional
reading or as a user-friendly way to dip your toes in the book of
Revelation.
Bill Mosley has pastored several congregations in Texas,
specializing in rural and small church settings. Currently he
serves Trinity Lutheran Church in Frelsburg, Texas, and St. John
Lutheran Church in New Ulm, Texas. Mosley is a graduate of Texas
Lutheran University and Luther Seminary. His writing has been
published in "Emphasis" preaching journal, "Lutheran Digest,"
"Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery" magazine, "Boy's Life," and
"KiteLines" magazine.
