Beginning with the first event in 2002, the International Conference on Wired/ Wireless Internet Communications (WWIC) has continuously been established as a highly selective conference focusing on integration and co-existence of rapidly dev- oping wireless network technologies and their applications related to the Internet. To do so WWIC provides an international forum for presenting and discussing cutti- edge research in this domain, and the 8th edition of WWIC, held at Lulea University in June 2010, continued this tradition. The WWIC 2010 call for papers attracted 45 submissions from more than 25 countries and each contribution was subject to thorough peer review by recognized int- national experts that acted as members of the Technical Program Committee. The selection process resulted in 16 accepted papers, which were thematically grouped into 5 technical sessions. The major themes of WWIC 2010 were cooperation, management of multimedia traffic, advancing IEEE 802.11, cognitive optimization, mesh and multi-hop networks, security, signaling, control, and wireless sensor networks."

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International IFIP-TC6 Conference on Optical Network Design and Modeling, ONDM 2007, held in Athens, Greece, in May 2007.

The 41 revised full papers presented together with 14 invited papers were carefully reviewed and selected from over 90 submissions. The papers address all recent advances in the design, modeling and implementation of optical networks, including novel switching schemes and paradigms, network optimization and design, new concepts for link and control layer protocols, advanced network subsystems and node architectures, and network inter-working schemes.

This book constitutes the proceedings of the 9th IFIP TC 6 International Conference on Wired/Wireless Internet Communications, WWIC 2011, held in Vilanova i la Geltru, Spain, in June 2011. The 26 contributions included were carefully reviewed and selected from 50 submissions. In addition the book contains 15 invited papers. The contributions are structured in topical sections on mobility and LTE networks; performance and simulation analysis; adaptive approaches to guarantee E2E network services; energy efficiency and cooperation in wireless networks; transmission and management; quality through routing, naming and control; wireless multi-hop communications challenges in the future internet; and emerging contributions.
