This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Workshop on Patch-Based Techniques in Medical Images, Patch-MI 2018, held in conjunction with MICCAI 2018, in Granada, Spain, in September 2018. The 15 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 17 submissions. Low-Dimensional Halide Perovskites: Structure, Properties and Applications provides an in-depth look at halide perovskite materials and their applications. Chapters cover history, fundamentals, physiochemical and optoelectronic properties, synthesis and characterization of traditional and Pb-free halide perovskites. The book concludes with sections describing the different applications of halide perovskites for solar cells, light-emitting diodes and photo detectors, as well as the challenges faced in the industrialization of halide perovskite-based devices and forward-thinking prospects for further deployment.
