This book describes comprehensively theories and methods of the
power system voltage stability. It first introduces the basic
theory of the power system and the basic concept and classification
of the power system stability and discusses the basic concepts of
voltage stability, including the mechanism of voltage stability,
and influencing factors of transient and medium-term and long-term
voltage stability. This book also describes the elemental
characteristics and models of important power system in voltage
stability analysis and discusses the theories and methods of
analysis on steady, transient and medium-term and long-term voltage
stability analysis, respectively. Then, this book introduces the
measures to improve the voltage stability. Finally, two examples of
voltage stability analysis in engineering applications are
introduced. This book is useful as a reference for engineers and
technicians who are engaged in dispatching operation, planning,
design and scientific research of the power system, and teachers
and students of electrical engineering major in colleges and
universities.
"Temporal Information Processing Technology and Its Applications"
systematically studies temporal information processing technology
and its applications. The book covers following subjects: 1) time
model, calculus and logic; 2) temporal data models, semantics of
temporal variable now temporal database concepts; 3) temporal query
language, a typical temporal database management system: TempDB; 4)
temporal extension on XML, workflow and knowledge base; and, 5)
implementation patterns of temporal applications, a typical example
of temporal application. The book is intended for researchers,
practitioners and graduate students of databases, data/knowledge
management and temporal information processing. Dr. Yong Tang is a
professor at the Computer School, South China Normal University,
China.

This book constitutes the refereed conference proceedings of the
6th International Symposium on Emerging Technologies for Education,
SETE 2021, held in Zhuhai, China in November 2021. 35 full papers
were accepted together with 8 short papers out of 58 submissions.
The papers focus on the following subjects: Emerging Technologies
for Education, Digital Technology, Creativity, and Education;
Education Technology (Edtech) and ICT for Education; Education +
AI; Adaptive Learning, Emotion and Behaviour Recognition and
Understanding in Education; as well as papers from the

This book focuses on the survey technology, post-processing
technology, mapping technology and scientific application of the
submarine topography and geomorphology in detail. High-resolution
submarine geomorphology is a frontier branch of marine geology and
marine surveying and mapping, which provides a direct basis to
study the seabed surface, to understand the tectonic movement and
submarine evolution. In the past two decades, high-resolution
submarine geomorphology with high-precision multi-beam echo
sounding, side-scan sonar and sub-bottom profiler as the major
techniques, is developing very quickly and is one of the frontiers
of international marine science and technology. These high
techniques promote the traditional submarine geomorphology to
high-resolution and quantitative research. At present,
high-resolution submarine geomorphology is widely used in the
delimitation of the continental shelf, the international seabed
resources survey, marine engineering and marine military
applications. In order to facilitate readers to understand how to
acquire and apply scientific research based on submarine
topographic data, it highlights the combination of theory,
technology and scientific application. This book is useful as a
reference for professional and technical personnel in related
fields and also as a textbook for both graduate and undergraduate
students as well.
