The 16 papers of this proceedings have been selected from the submissions to the 10th International Conference on Queueing Theory and Network Applications (QTNA2015) held on 17-20 August, 2015 in Ha Noi and Ha Long, Vietnam. All contributions discuss theoretical and practical issues connected with queueing theory and its applications in networks and other related fields. The book brings together researchers, scientists and practitioners from the world and offers an open forum to share the latest important research accomplishments and challenging problems in the area of queueing theory and network applications.

The advancement of key technologies in communication, such as optical and radio transmission, coding schemes, switching mechanisms etc., has meant that communication networks are quickly growing to a larger-scale and higher speed than was ever anticipated. In terms of usage, Internet and real-time ap plications are expected to share a significant portion of the bandwidth in the next-generation of communication networks. Therefore, in order to achieve seamless and Quality of Service (QoS)-guaranteed transmission, regardless of source characteristics, extensive research into networking technologies is es sential. For the proper design, development and operation of emerging ideas on networking, further studies on the performance modeling and evaluation of networking are also encouraged. The International Conference on the Performance and QoS of Next Gen eration Networking (P&QNet2000) is being held from November 27 to 29, 2000, in Nagoya, Japan (Seto Campus of Nanzan University). This is the sixth international conference on the performance and other aspects of com munication networks. The conference is held once every three years in Japan (1985 in Tokyo; 1988, 1991, and 1994 in Kyoto; 1997 in Tsukuba). "What a di?erence a year makes - 52 little weeks" This variation of the ?rst line from Dinah Washington's famous song, which originally reads, "What a di?erence a day makes - 24 little hours," brings it to the point: Accordingtoallexperts,thepress,andmostpeople'simpressionwearetoday in a serious economic recession. Less than one year ago, we practically lived on the "island of the blessed" (namely, at Networking 2008 that was held on the island of Singapore), or in the famous country where "milk and honey ?ow" (or "where wine and liquor ?ow"). This convenient situation has changed abruptly within less than 52 weeks. It looks like the same kind of problems has emerged in all areas - and the "Networking" area has, of course, been a?ected, too. Looking into the 2009 proceedings, however, you will immediately notice that the manuscripts are largely una?ected by any aspect of the economic c- sis (which should be a bit of a consolation). Apparently, research directions are dictated by a process that is all too sluggish in order to be quickly and radically changed by a "tsunami." Likewise, the conference itself was prepared in spite of such a crisis.
