Kim (Ritter) ends up having unprotected sex with a guy she meets one night after her friend Deena (Bosworth) uses the last condom in their house. A year later Kim is a single mother to her son Max (Zachary Ross/Connor Ross) and is still living with Deena and their friend Laura (Rachel Bilson).
