Anemia a common blood disorder occurs when the level of healthy red
blood cells (RBCs) in the body becomes too low. Anemia can lead to
health complications and affected by nutritional deficiencies,
infectious diseases, genetic disorders, reproductive complications,
and poor socio-economic status. Anemia affects approximately 2
billion people at worldwide but disproportionately affects women
and children. Women of reproductive age (15-49) in Pakistan are 68
million and 60% of them are anemic. Children under 5 years are 20%
of population and 50-60% are anemic. This book highlighted that
anemia is purely socio-cultural issue, and also investigates mother
and child anemia conditions within socio-cultural, demographic and
nutritional context. Current study also highlighted exogenous and
endogenous factors. Exogenous causes are social component of
illness and they are potential preventable. Endogenous factors are
internal agents operating within the body, leading to biological
defects in the mother and new born. Health of baby is related to
mothers' education, age at marriage, usage of health services,
addiction, nutrition and health during pregnancy.
The present study has been designed to know about violence against
working women. The main purpose of this study is to explain the
phenomenon of violence, at what extent the violence is present in
our society. This study reveals that not only domestic females face
the cruel violence but also working and educated class of females
faces this uncivilized behavior. The promulgation of state backed
discriminatory legislation from 1978 on wards and a systematic
media advocacy that focused on the women's reproductive role and
protect them from the un-due male biasness in society, led to an
increase in the incidence of violence against working women and
encouraged the erosion of their rights. In our male dominant
society, various circle s of torturing women by men are continuing.
The law makers, civil administration, voluntary organizations are
still unsuccessful in inspiring the society to end this evil custom
as there is big gaps between the practice and the actual perceived
practice. The social discourse in patriarchal societies like
Pakistan continues to uphold not only the false division of social
discrimination but also a hurdle in the gender mainstreaming.

aquatic plants belonging to 17 families of Hazara Divison,
Pakistan. The objective of the study was to identify and classify
the plants on the basis of above mentioned studies and to study the
intraspecific, intrageneric and intergeneric relationships among
species. This study was also carried out to highlight the
ethnobotanical knowledge including local name, habitat, parts used,
medicinal uses and other uses of plants. Among pollens maximum
polar size and equatorial diameter was reported in Coix
lacryma-jobi L was 83.75 um and 72.5 umwhereas the lowest polar and
equatorial diameter was observed in Nasturtium officinale R.Br i.e.
17.5 um and 14.37 um respectively.Maximum exine thickness was
observed in Eclipta alba L 4.37 um whereas lowest exine thickness
was shown by Bacopa monneiri (L.) Pennell i.e 1.62 um. The highest
percentage pollen fertility was reported in Eclipta alba L i.e.
96.29 and the lowest percentage fertility was observed in
Eichhornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms i.e. 70.3. The highest trichome
length was observed in the abaxial of leaf epider"
